Students can decide to join the military, work, or continue their education at a college or university. For the students who continue their education they have many things to do before they finally get accepted. It’s way different than high school in the way that class is way more important and you are actually paying for your classes in college while throughout your whole life before if you went through the public school system, school was free. The decision to attend college immediately after high school is one of the many challenges high schoolers face upon graduating. National Honor society was established to recognize outstanding high school students. National Honor society recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of academic success, leadership, character and service. I should be in National Honor Society because I think I represent a lot of the qualities needed to be in this organization. Throughout my years in high school, I have been very involved in the band program here at Langham Creek. As a freshman, I started out in Concert 2 band.

Some people say that high schools should not be allowed to teach AP classes. Some people think this because students are taking advantage of the weighted credit. They also argue high school teachers are not capable of teaching a college level course. Finally, they argue that AP courses reduce the opportunity of the exploration in college. The first argument they give is AP classes give a weighted credit to a student, even if the student did not take the AP exam (Honawar 2).

This helps them find out what they want to do with their life with ease and brevity. The way it would make the transition and overall experience fast is by allowing students to get basic classes done in high school and making it unnecessary to wait years to apply to a college. By letting students get the basic classes done it is then letting them get into more specialized classes earlier on, instead of waiting because they’re schedule is too full. Also by being free, it means students don’t have to work in a low-end job for years to slowly accumulate the funds necessary to pay for

Every year there are almost 50 million college students chose to drop out of university and the rate is continuing going up. Entering college is a huge event for every high school graduates. However after getting in the university lots of students found that the college life in reality had a lot of differences with their imagination, from teaching style to relationships with classmates and roommates. It not only will have to do with some may not being academically prepared to attend college but not having the financial resources necessary to enroll. I went to college right away, my husband worked for about ten years out of high school before deciding to attend college. If you can transition well to a college environment right out of high school, then that might be the path for you.

The transition from high school to college is difficult, as a result to being excited, this will make it an easier transition. Being in a classroom is what I’m most excited about, because school has always kept me motivated to be successful. A college classroom setting is different from high school. Being at Coral Reef High School, there were some classes I took that were said to be mandatory in order to graduate. This included the classes I have to take in college makes some classes mandatory. But some of these classes don't even relate to my main interest or career, which is animation. This is probably one of the reasons why students are less engage within their studies.
