Sharks are driven to extinction because people want to eat their fins which serves no purpose to humans; shark fins have no nutritional value or serve any medicinal purpose. Finning is the inhumane practice of cutting off all of the shark’s fins and throwing the body back into the ocean. The sharks either drown are eaten by bigger fish or starve to death. Soon sharks are going to become extinct because of the 100 millions of sharks killed every year. If shark finning continues it will throw off the biodiversity of earth.
If sharks go extinct it can cause a disastrous effect on the food chain; coral reefs could possibly die and fisheries could collapse. Keeping sharks alive helps keep a healthy and regular balance in marine life. The oceans

Shark fin soup is of chinese origin and it is treated as a delicacy. It is a sign of wealth, each bowl is a $100 us dollars and it is usually served at business banquets and weddings. There is little to no taste in the shark fin and it is the most expensive type of fish in the fish market, there is no real purpose to why
Rodriguez 3 humans should capture and kill sharks inhumanely; they are only harming the ecosystem.
Sharks have been in this world for more than 450 million years they are the oldest species alive, they are older than dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are now extinct and sharks are not but if shark finning does not stop they will soon be extinct. Sharks are already an endangered species with humans killing 11,417 sharks per hour and annually it can be up 273 million sharks. Sharks may go extinct within the next few decades if the killing rate stays at 100 million sharks killed per year.
The shark savers is an organization that raises awareness and saves sharks from the cruel and inhumane way of shark finning. There needs to be more people like this to save the sharks and keep them from
I have swum with Caribbean reef sharks in the Bahamas and have seen how beautiful and strong they truly are first hand. Sharks are a vital part to every ecosystem they are in and currently being killed at a rate that they cannot reproduce at. Alpha predators are a necessary component of eco-systems because they keep the populations of every trophic level below them in check. You can compare an eco-system to a skyscraper; you need every single part so the entire building does not fall apart. Sharks have the task of killing the wounded, old, and sick fish in schools to keep the stocks of fish healthy and plentiful.
To conclude, the ocean is ultimately the sharks home and it has been for millions of years and we are intruding on it though all of the point brought forward you can clearly see that rouge sharks should be let go sharks kill barley any people compared to a lot of others, they don’t go out of their way to eat humans and the general public is convinced by the media that sharks are evil man eaters this leads me to believe that sharks should be let be evacuate the beach and let the shark move on, once the shark has moved on think of shark prevention tactics such as nets, shark shields, extra patrols
This topic has made me think differently because usually sharks are looked upon as the predator by humans; however, in this scenario they are the prey. The decreasing numbers of the sharks has also impacted the food chains. There is now more prey with fewer predators and there is a risk that a new predator may evolve targeting other species.
Without the Sea, they will become endangered, perhaps even extinct.
The Great White Shark The Great White Sharks, known mostly because of their white underbellies, are one of the most powerful aquatic animals in the world. They can swim at about 25 Miles Per Hour (40 Kilometers per hour) because of their strong muscles and forceful tails. In addition to that, male Great Whites can grow around 11.5 to 13.1 feet long, while females can grow from 14.8 to 16.4 feet long. This paper will demonstrate how Great White Sharks are an important part of their ecosystem, how their diets work and will adequately describe their habitats. As predators in their ecosystem, Great White sharks help maintain the coral reefs and seagrass habitats.
They had to give it a reason to want to kill people. In Jaws that isn’t the case. The writers saw a natural apex predator living in an environment that humans don’t thrive in and they took action. Many people are terrified of sharks and making a shark evil and blood thirsty only fueled the flame.
So if we have shark nets set up, people will not swim out as far into were sharks swim. Keeping both humans and sharks separated and safe from each other. The top CSIRO great white shark expert Dr Barry Bruce thinks that shark nets reduce the deaths of people "Shark nets certainly reduce risk because they catch and kill sharks that have the potential to bite people," he said. A Queensland study showed that at beaches which had shark nets, there had been only one fatal attack since 1962 compared with 20 fatal attacks between 1919 and 1961 at the same beaches. So they do work.
All is quiet in the beautiful ocean then you hear a scream then you look out into the ocean and the only thing you could see was a shark tail. Older Than Dinosaurs? Sharks have lived on the earth longer than you think for example, over three hundred years ago sharks roamed in waters, that is one hundred million years before dinosaurs roamed the earth!
Because of this, many native species are dying out.
SeaWorld is a billion dollar company based in the U.S. They specialise in the taking care of animals, such as killer whales, dolphins and sea lions. They have over 67,000 animals in their care and are rescuing more and more every day. Despite common belief, SeaWorld does not abuse the animals themselves. The workers of SeaWorld try their best every single day to look after every species of animal, and in return, are now being hassled and abused for it.
A vulnerable species means if their their birth and deaths rates decrease, they will become endangered. Humans hunt Makos for sports and food(Gray, 2014). For example, they make shark fin soup with Mako sharks. To protect the Mako Shark species, they are protected by U.S. waters(Beardsley, 2015). Mako sharks are fascinating animals.
Teaching your kids to fish is an activity that comes with plenty of benefits. For one, your children will learn the art of fishing, which can prove very useful at some point in their life. After all, fishing is not just about making a catch, but the effort and patience that goes with it. It also gives kids the opportunity to appreciate the diversity and beauty of nature, especially the world underwater. Fishing can also help kids stay active, especially when the fishing grounds is not easily accessible.
In the worst case scenario these animals will become extinct in the future. Carbon dioxide is well known as CO2. The level of carbon dioxide in the ocean has increased over the past years. The ocean dissolves the emissions of humans and the combustion of fossil fuel. Once being dissolved, the carbon dioxide creates
As a species gets close to extinction it can be very hard to restore them back to sustainability. Even closing the fishing game for that species is not enough for a species to comeback from overfishing. Both recreational and commercial fishing have a huge impact on overfishing, by keeping under sized fish and other aquatic life. Not only do fish have to worry about fishermen but they also have to worry about each other, fish deplete their own population by feeding on one another. For example, Betta fish are known to eat fish of the same species but can live peacefully with fish of another species.
You take a huge breath in your scuba mask. You dive into the water you, open your eyes. It’s all bright and colorful. You see multiple animals. There is some that are ugly but you see the most beautiful fish.
