I am very honored to apply for the Science National Honor Society primarily because of my interest, but also to enhance my academic achievements in science. My interest in joining the SNHS is to enlarge my comprehension in the fascinating study of sciences. I have always been a visual learner, not through reading and writing but through imagery, experiments, tests, and labs. This way of learning has hooked me to learn more about science. From biology to physics, science is a never-ending field which intrigues me endlessly. For example, with many theories, there is never a correct answer, which makes me wonder more about theories. I want to become a person that changes the understanding of the universe to better the future lives of not just …show more content…
Not only in sciences but in every other subject, I have maintained a final course grade of an A for all my courses. My 92% attendance is a number I would strive to maintain and never drop. I hate procrastinating so in my detailed and colorful agenda, I check off the assignments I have completed. To stay on top of schoolwork, I take notes in most of my classes which are extremely helpful when it comes to studying. My organization is my top priority to success. Other than academics, I have many other interests. After school I spend hours on the court with the Varsity tennis team and inside a studio, I train to become the strongest ballerina I can be. To balance out of stress, I escape myself into designing, volunteering, and experimenting, in the field of environmental …show more content…
I am grateful to all my teachers for teaching me valuable information about science, but I am desperate to know more. It will prepare me for my future interests and the knowledge will be extremely beneficial. During the service-learning opportunities, I am willing to do more than the 10-hour minimum to benefit the community as much as possible. I want to be a benefit to the community while expanding my knowledge in science as well. Though I have full schedule ahead of me, I promise to prioritize SNHS because it is my enjoyment and an opportunity to
It is an honor to be nominated for the National Honor Society. The fact that I was nominated proves to me that all of my hard work and dedication has not been for nothing. The National Honor Society is known for recognizing students who strive to achieve their best not only in school but in themselves and the community. I believe that I’m one of those students. Based upon my last two year at Matawan Regional I now have a 3.9 GPA and am ranked in the top 20% of my graduating class.
Dear the National Honor Society selection committee, Thank you for the great honor of being invited to apply for membership to such a well-respected and incredible organization. I am very excited about this opportunity as it presents an optimal way in which to further my passion of expanding my mind and bettering my community. Since I entered high school, I have pursued this by taking all honors classes and any Advanced Placement classes offered to me each year. Although sometimes I was not always entirely sure what to expect walking into each class, and of course there have been classes I like more than others, there is no class I regret taking because each and every one has opened my mind up to a new way of thinking.
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
National Honor society was established to recognize outstanding high school students. National Honor society recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of academic success, leadership, character and service. I should be in National Honor Society because I think I represent a lot of the qualities needed to be in this organization. Throughout my years in high school, I have been very involved in the band program here at Langham Creek. As a freshman, I started out in Concert 2 band.
