Many processes across base requires hazardous chemical interaction. Knowing if a chemical is hazardous is key to keep Airmen safe and the work environment healthy. The Hazardous Communication Standard defines the following hazards:

While reading "The Sandwich Generation: Rising Financial Burdens for Middle-Aged Americans" by Kim Parker I found it interesting how she not only compared the financial stress of being in this generation, but also the emotional support that is needed in this situation as well. The financial aspect I found it interesting how 41 percent of sandwich generation say they live comfortable. I expected it to be less since having two support three generations in the house hold. In all the cases though it states a sandwich generation member that has a parent of 65 and at least one child over 18. This makes me think of all the sandwich generations that have more than one child over 18 plus younger ones.

The 36th Engineer Brigade based at Fort Hood, TX has a long history, which dates back to 1933. The first thing people ask is, “why the seahorse on the patch?” Well, the seahorse signifies something very unique about the unit. The 36th Engineer saw action in numerous campaigns, and participated in the invasion of Europe. The unit was trained to conduct amphibious assaults, but always saw a change in its role.
Also the hospitals could have biohazard, chemicals, and a messed up system. RE: Unit 4 DB 7/26/2015 8:09:50 PM Me too, I also agree with the standard and rules OSHA has made for medical facilities that you said. They care about people and thinking about their safety. I also think that it is very beneficial and important part of the medical facility. Emily I
Pearl Harbor When considering knowledge on Pearl Harbor previous to the occurrence, there is substantial indication to justify that the US government clearly knew Japan intended to attack at some point. Despite the awareness of their potential threat, it would've been nearly impossible to have known the time and date it would take place, being one reason a multitude of people conceived this as a surprise attack. Contrary to this belief, FDR was well warned and cognizant of what was expected in response to his counteractions against the Japanese, being influenced by McCollum's eight point plan. One of the US Government's top experts on Japan was Lieutenant Commander Arthur McCollum.
fifty miles behind enemy lines. It was only at the express order, urging by General Patton that General Hoge consented to the raid. In fact Patton had told Abrams, “Bill, I’ll promise I’ll replace anything you lose…every man, every tank, every half-track.” After the revelation to General Hoge from MAJ Stiller of Patton’s son-in-law being in the camp, that General Hoge understood the purpose for the raid. The true purpose of the raid was a violation of trust .

The Second Battle of Fallujah, more commonly known as Operation: Phantom Fury, was a joint offensive between U.S., British, and Iraqi operational forces that was considered the peak of combat in Fallujah and the bloodiest battle of the Iraq War. The offensive was spearheaded by the United States Marine Corps to push into the city to eliminate the insurgency stronghold that had festered within the city. It is revered by the U.S. military as some of the heaviest urban combat the U.S. Marines had been involved in since the Battle of Hue City in the Vietnam War. It was also the second major operation to be conducted in Fallujah. Earlier in April 2004,, the coalition forces had moved in to eliminate the terrorists responsible for the death
Chapter 7 of Fast Food Nation discussed the starting of meatpacking industry and its downfalls. At first, Iowa Beef Packers (IBP) used the same principle as McDonald’s principle to make fast foods. IBP hired unskilled workers just to do simple and repeated work all day. However, competition with other companies made IBP low wages and health insurance options. This caused slaughterhouses to move West to gain cheap labor and land.
In additions these regulations state that different products must not be mixed together as they would produce toxic fumes. Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety)
Fusing the Ideologies of Monomaternalism Introduction Shelley Park seeks to develop “an alternative to the ideology of monomaternalism that would permit young children to recognize multiple mothers for themselves” (120). In Park’s argument, she emphasizes the importance to try to see the world from a child’s point of view. Her reasoning behind this being that too often adults impose their reality on the child, thus rendering the child from establishing a reality of their own. In the “Fusion Cuisine” episode of the Cartoon Network show Steven Universe, the show is told from the child, Steven’s, point of view which allows the viewer to get a sense of what it would look like if a child was in total control of creating their own reality. Through Steven, it is apparent that an alternative ideology to monomaternalism is a possibility if adults listen to what the child has to say rather than imposing their own ideology upon the child.
