The author Horace Miner expresses his understanding of the psyche behind the unique yet horrible body rituals among the Nacirema tribe. According to anthropologists, human behavior is highly unpredictable and diverse, and different people react differently even under the same conditions. In this essay, Miner’s basic storyline is this very fact: upto what extremes can the human behavior endure. The main idea that he wants to express is not the horror of some body rituals among the Nacirema tribe, but the reason why and under which circumstances this tribe endures such rituals. He tries to understand this exotic custom to see the extremes of human behavior.

Earlier this month, a “sexting ring” at Canon City High School in Colorado was uncovered by school authorities. Involved were minors and legal adults, who had scandalist pictures and images of naked minors. This has brought upon the question of, “How do you prosecute and punish those involved in these acts?” Those responsible for these acts must take the punishment which they are served when the time comes. The judge is gathering the information and having the ones involved questioned.
In his essay, Alan Soble provides a conceptual analysis of the notion of masturbation by categorizing masturbation into solitary and mutual masturbation. He outlines the derogatory attitude of the society on masturbation throughout history. Even in today’s sexually enlightened society masturbation is still a sign of derogation. He describes in detail the difficulties that arise in properly defining masturbation on a conceptual level. He analyzes that the common notion of masturbation, a solitary private act of sexually pleasing by an individual does stand the close scrutiny.
The lobotomy was an inhumane, evil, and cruel procedure done on thousands of people in the 20th century. Walter Freeman performed roughly 5,000 of these, while the people he taught the procedure to may have performed 40,000 more, meaning that he was more or less responsible for 45,000 lobotomies within the US. With this much blood on his hands, we must ask ourselves: “Should he receive one as well”? The lobotomy is a barbaric procedure, and more often than not, yielded poor results, with a fatality rate of 15% (page 66).

Sexual encounters occur among inmates, as well as visitors and institutional staff persons, despite being universally prohibited by institutional policies. For some inmates, sex inside is an extension and continuation of their sexual ways prior to incarceration. Other inmates experience a reshaping and redefinition of sexuality and yet other inmates seemingly discontinue sexual activities while incarcerated. As with sexuality in any setting, there are a number of ways that individuals experience and enact sexuality in prison. Inmates who have entered the confines of correctional facilities must acclimate to their newfound surroundings, which do not socially operate with norms found in the free world.

“What are night terrors?” “What happens during night terrors?” These are two common questions that parents ask when their child starts to have night terrors. Night terrors are a serious problem within the younger children. Even though they don’t realize or remember that they were up screaming and crying during the night, they still need help to overcome this condition.
Should torture be acceptable in our society seems to be the day old question. First, one must know what torture actually is; torture is the action or practice of inflicting severe pain on someone as a punishment to force them to do or say something, or for the pleasure of the person inflicting the pain. Torture is wrong and should not be acceptable in our society because it is ineffective, morally wrong, and it violates the rights of human dignity of the victim. The 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, “no one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment.”

Ritual abuse is often carried out systematically and in a group setting, and may be conducted in the confines of a cult, religious group, family setting, or other group, such as a paedophile ring or child pornography network. Ritually abusive groups may be local or far-reaching, with some organisations and cults spanning over multiple cities, states, and even
Three contemporary examples come to mind: Catherine Breillat's Anatomy of Hell (Anatomie de l’enfer, 2004), Michael Winterbottom's 9 Songs (2004), and John Cameron Mitchell's Shortbus (2006). These films can all be seen to hybridize Last Tango in Paris' "jabbing, thrusting, eroticism" [247] with Deep Throat's elements of "feature-length, hard-core, sound and color pornography" [252], as well as also being emotionally challenging dramas. I want to inquire: How does the salience of unsimulated sex alter these films' dramatic affect? And how do these films further blur or 'queer' the boundaries between erotica and
