The story of Romeo and Juliet is a very dramatic and interesting story that deals with the emotions and feelings of two characters and the relationship between their families. At the end of the story, Romeo, one of the main protagonists of the story, takes his life to be with Juliet in the afterlife after she fakes her death. But the real question is what drove them to this point. Was it the emotion of love or hate? In the end, the emotion that took Romeo to his end was the emotion of love. "...for fear of that, I still will stay with thee, and never from this palace of dim night depart again. Here, here will I remain with worms that are thy chambermaids; O, here will I set up my everlasting rest, and shake the yoke of inauspicious stars from this world-wearied flesh. Eyes, look your last!" (5.3.107-113) Romeo can't stand being without Juliet. He won't ever leave her because he loves her too much. He just assumed that Juliet is dead and jumps to conclusions that he is killing himself to be dead with the love of his life. Romeo heads out to buy poison and says, “A dram of poison, such soon-speeding gear/ as will disperse itself through all the veins/ that the life-weary taker may fall dead”(V-ii-60-63). After Romeo buys the poison, he decides to go to Juliet's tomb and kill himself next to Juliet’s body. When he reaches the tomb he kills Paris, because they get into a fight.
