The previous governmental charter, the Articles of Confederation, failed because it was just too weak and wasn’t getting the job done. Under the Articles of Confederation, there was no court system, no chief executive, and there was no particular way for the central government to force states to pay their taxes. By creating the Constitution, it would build a stronger central government and would be able to hold the nation together.

The constitution of the United States was a document created to fix the major problems the Confederation government had following its creation. The meetings in which the document was created founded the style of government that has lasted to this day. It created the Executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government, it created our bill of rights, and it separated powers between the states and the newly formed federal government. Negotiations started as very difficult between the representatives of the separate states.

The Constitution, the foundation of American society. In May 1787, 55 delegates made their way to Philadelphia for a Constitutional Convention. At that time the Articles of Confederation were being used in the United States, however, they simply weren’t working. While under the Articles of Confederation, there was no court system, no chief executive, and not a single way to force the states to pay taxes. The nation needed an improved constitution, creating a stronger central government that would keep the nation together.

Ever heard of the Articles of Confederation? Thought not. That’s because within only 8 years of their ratification, they were gotten rid of. This was because, among other things, there were no courts, no national currency, and no taxes. So in May of 1787, 55 men gathered together in Philadelphia to come up with a better plan.

After fighting for so long and hard to secure independence from the British rule, the young United States of America needed to come together to form a strong nation. Having literally sacrificed blood, sweat, and tears to free themselves from the tyrannical oppression of an over-powered central government, the people wanted to ensure that they would not be trading one for another. There needed to exist a means to effect a measure of equality and security for the newly founded country. The Constitution aimed to do just that.

The Articles of Confederation is the first American written governing document that established the functions of the national government of the United States. The United States wanted to create a more perfect union, so they established the US Constitution that created fundamental laws and rights for its citizens. The Constitution creates a division of powers, meaning it assigns certain powers to the National Government and saves the remaining powers for the other states. The Constitutional Convention was held on May 25, 1787 in the House of Philadelphia, which is also known as Independence Hall.

The US Constitution is a document based on the US Federal government’s law and it presents legal checks and balance for the branches of government. The reasoning behind this system was to give an in depth set of values and guidelines for the American people. It is separated into three parts: The Articles, the Bill of Rights, and the changes and additions. The initial three articles are written to establish the responsibilities, powers, and balance each branch the federal government has.

Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. The foundation of America is freedom. Freedom from Britain. However, the freedom is limited to white males who own property. When colonists started to immigrate to America, they wanted to escape from under the rule of Britain.

Thomas Jefferson wrote this document that the declared the thirteen American colonies then at war with Great Britain were no longer under British rules. The colonies became independent states. Their purpose was to create an ideological nation because in an ideological nation the people and the government are hold together by a set of ideas. The preamble first three words “We the People” created this constitution to establish a government. The articles are the foundation for how the U.S government is organized. Article l, gives Congress limits and powers, giving them the right to make laws.

Madison, the Constitution called for the creation of a federal government with the following three branches which include the legislative, executive, and judiciary. Article I created Congress, the legislative, lawmaking, body. Article II created the office of the President, who executes, or carries out, the laws. Article III created the federal court system that consist of one Supreme Court and other lower courts.

The United States Constitution consists of the essential principles and laws for the nation. It is the framework for the government of the United States, exemplifying the citizen’s rights and duties as well as the system of how it’s governed. The Constitution was established according to the fundamentals of federalism as well as the separation of powers. It was written by a variety of people including Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, Thomas Paine and John Adams under the supervision of George Washington.

What is freedom? Is it an absolute right or is it something we can live without it? People born to be free. Throughout history freedom defined differently according to different cultures and different period of time. Freedom shows an alteration cultures to culture.

Freedom means the power or right to act, speak, or think without restraint, and the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. Freedom is the correction to do what he/she wants, live life, and eat what he/she wants. How do we live free? We live free by not judging other people’s freedom rights. Everyone has their own rights.
