Thank you Mrs. Ellsworth for coming to me with your questions. I would gladly explain your lab results to you. The test you had done was a urinanlysis. This test is performed to check the specific gravity of a patients urine. This is a quick and simple test used to determine how efficiently the patients kidneys are diluting the urine. If the urine lab results show that the urine is too concentrated, this could be an indication that the patients kidneys are not functioning properly. If your lab results showed your urine had a pH of 6, then that is a great sign because that is the average pH in healthy individuals. Although your pH was in what is considered a normal range, the turbid appearance and amber color suggests that you need to increase the amount of water that you are drinking daily. Your lab results showed that there was no protein in your urine. It is important that a patient would have no protein in the urine because then they would have something called proteinuria. Your results also came back negative for glucose and ketones. Glucose and ketones are not normally found in the urine. If a patient had glucose present in the urine, they would …show more content…
If the lab tests results were negative like it was in your case Mrs. Ellsworth, then there is a small amount of white blood cells present in the urine which is normal. If there is a high WBC esterase count and the lab results come back positive, that would mean that there is inflammation in the urinary tract or kidneys. Fortunately, you had no bilirubin present in the urine. Bilirubin is a waste product produced by the liver and it is not present in the urine in normal healthy individuals. Uribilinogen on the other hand is normally present in the urine but in low concentrations, just like you had in your lab
However, during his workout he was slightly dehydrated since his urine turned to dark yellow. The urine color and specific gravity are matched in terms of normal values based on the data results. Because the normal specific gravity of urine ranges from 1.000-1.030 according to medlineplus.gov. 2. Based on the urine color and specific gravity, what might Tracey conclude about the hydration status of Max 's body at the three different times? Answer: Since
Part 1 Some of the common things that trigger an asthmatic episode are cigarette smoke, exercise, allergens, sudden temperature change, excitement or stress, cold air, and odors. Some factors that could have affected her is going upstairs, going from standing to sitting position, the dust and allergens, the smell of coffee and the teddy bear as well.

1. What rationale do the author(s) give for conducting the study? The author that is conducting this research is testing the obedience of a subject when dealing with “stocking a victim” by use of a shock generator. There are thirty levels of shock that are generated varying from a slight shock to a severe shock.
After reading this week’s chapters from our textbook, one interesting topic that was discussed in chapter five was classifying instructional objectives. When a teacher wants to design objectives, it is important that they use three domains and they are the cognitive domain, affective domain, and psychomotor domain. The cognitive domain involves mental operations from the lowest level of the simple recall of information to complex, high-level evaluative process (Carjuzaa & Kellough, 2017, pg. 136). The affective domain involves feelings, attitudes, and values and ranges from the lower levels of acquisition to the highest level of internalization and action (Carjuzaa & Kellough, 2017, pg. 136). Psychomotor domain ranges from the simple manipulation
Also, a brown or tea colored urine can indicate that there is a larger amount of toxins in the blood such as myoglobin and CK which leads to rhabdomyolysis. When seeing by a physician, they may also ask if you have had a decreased amount of urine produced as well as muscle weakness and stiffness. These all are signs that point to rhabdomyolysis of the skeletal muscle. Tests that can be done to see if it is in fact rhabdomyolysis extend from testing the amount of CK in the blood as well as the levels of serum calcium and even urine myoglobin tests. A Urinalysis can also be used to see if you are effected by the disease.
The investigation was carried out to identify the presence or absence of biological molecules in serum 2216. If the concentration in each test tube of the dilutions carried out will be more concentrated then the concentration of the test tube before it, then the color will be at an equal concentration with the other dilutions performed. The hypothesis was wrong because of the difference in concentrations due to the different measurements within the dilutions done. The test for starch was to add a drop of iodine solution to the pipette in the spotting tile. A reducing sugar solutions is add inside a test tube with 3 drops to then add 3 drops of benedicts and plane in a water bath.
Diagnosis Urine test: Because people with Sanfilippo syndrome cannot break down heparan sulfate, it builds up in cells and is excreted in the urine. A urine test to look for levels of GAG that is higher than
Introduction The purpose of this experiment was to apply all knowledge gained from the entire semester while in the lab and apply it to be able to identify an unknown genus and species gram positive bacteria. Each student was given a petri dish with an unknown Gram positive bacterium inside. The petri dish with the unknown gram positive bacteria that was used in my experiment was #8. The possible bacteria inside my petri dish could be any of the following: Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus cereus, Mycobacterium species, Corynebacterium species, Lactobacillus, Staphylococcus aureus, Micrococcus luteus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae Hypothesis
Psychoanalytic reading of The Yellow Wallpaper In Charlotte Gilman's short story The Yellow Wallpaper, the speaker seems to be suffering from postpartum depression or "temporary nervous depression." (648). Accordingly, her husband makes the decision for her and takes her to a country house because he believes that it would be good for her. The narrator is not allowed to take care of her own child as she was imprisoned in her room where she should do nothing but "rest."
Keep all follow-up visits as told by your health care provider. This is important. How is this prevented? To prevent AD: Check if your urine is smelly or cloudy.
Psycho describes the mind. The mind can be divided into two parts the unconscious and conscious. Ample of theories are used to finding out the unconscious mind, which many are unaware of. Psychoanalysis is used to treat psychological problems and enhance many lives. There are plenty of key concepts in psychoanalytic therapy.
If there is a increased red blood cell count or high hematocrit should point in the direction of dehydration, most commonly from severe diarrhea. It can also be a marker for increased erythropoietin production, which points to kidney malfunction. Erythropoietin is a hormone produced by the kidney in response to decreased levels oxygen in the blood, via the negative feedback mechanism. The increased count may also be a indicator of heart disease or lung diseases. Smoking can also cause an increased count, along with many other health problems.
Psychoanalytic Approach As a psychoanalytic therapist, one would be looking deep into the clients’ unconscious and conscious motives to determine what factors would be contributing to their underlying problems. This type of therapist would allow Juan and Maria to discuss the concerns they have pertaining to their middle child, and attempt to find a connection as to why each parent believes the child should be raised in a specific manner; this particular method of allowing to speak out whatever comes to mind is known as free association. “Free association is one of the basic tools used to open the doors to unconscious wishes, fantasies, conflicts, and motivations’ (Corey, 2013, p. 79). Defense Mechanisms Juan and Maria appear to have had different upbringings and experiences, which would explain why they display different defenses that “depend on the individual’s level of development and degree of anxiety” (Corey, 2013, p. 66).
It will be at the peaks after you ovulate and then the levels are back to low ,except if you have conceived. Normal test results Typically, normal serum progesterone test results fall in the following ranges: men, postmenopausal women, and women at the beginning of their menstrual cycle: 1 ng/mL or under women in the middle of their menstrual cycle: 5 to 20 ng/mL pregnant women in their first trimester: 11.2 to 90 ng/mL pregnant women in their second trimester: 25.6 to 89.4 ng/mL pregnant women in their third trimester: 48.4 to 42.5 ng/mL Abnormal test results Your test results are considered abnormal if the ranges fall above or outside the normal ranges. In some cases, a single abnormal test result reflects normal fluctuations in your progesterone
