The Democratic Party Platform

There are many different types of minor parties, one of them being the Constitution Party. This party is a national political party in the United States. The members who founded this organization included Darrell Castle and Director Howard Phillips. The principles that are set in the Constitution Party were also found in the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, The Constitution and the Bible. The goal of this party is to limit federal government to its delegated, functions.

Jefferson's democratic-republican party views are always contradictory to the Federalist party founded by Alexander Hamilton. Jefferson believes in small federal government and more powers to individual states, his policies are around people and they should rule the government. Jefferson always follows strict constitutional rules. Jefferson always believed the country economy will improve through the agriculture. Hamilton views are very contrasted to Jefferson's view.

Both the Democrats and the Republicans like to think of themselves as the true heirs of Thomas Jefferson. The modern Democrats are historically descended from the Democratic-Republican Party that Jefferson himself organized to thwart the ambitions of Alexander Hamilton (although, ironically, they were known as "Republicans" in Jefferson 's time). Democrats around the country annually celebrate Jefferson-Jackson Dinners, avowedly declaring a connection between Jefferson and the modern Democratic Party. But Republicans claim that their platform of small government and low taxes is more in line with true Jeffersonian philosophy than that of the big-government Democrats.

All in all, Democratic-Republicans and Federalists have their similarities and also contrast in multiple ways. Democratic-Republicans and Federalists don 't want a monarchy, but, Federalists wanted a wealthy class rule, while Democratic-Republicans wanted a people

Republicans and Democrats have very different ideas where it comes to the business environment. Republicans tend to oppose increasing minimum wage where businesses keep costs low so they can prosper and all Americans can have access to services and products. The Democrats favor increasing the minimum wage where Americans have more money to purchase goods and also paid trade restrictions to protect jobs. Despite being the only major political party the Democrats experienced a lot of conflict among themselves Eventfully a party known as the Whigs developed. Both the Democrats and Whigs wanted to expand the numbers of voters. They accomplished this by eliminating several voting restrictions put on white males. Like the Federalist the Whigs supported northern merchants. Besides supporting merchants, the only thing members of the Whig party really had in common was there opposition to the Democratic party.

The Republican party actually began as a series of anti-slavery political meetings held in the Midwest in 1854. They are often referred to as the GOP (Grand Old Party). Their rivals are known as the democrats. They stand for traditional views. Most Republicans don't follow the crowd, they stand on the principles that made and founded this country.

They promote industry and supporters of tariff on imported goods in order to protect American manufacturing industry. They were the group that wanted modernization of the economy and society. Supporters were from cities and market towns. The Democrat Party supported less government input, supported strong president, they believed that government should leave business alone, neither helping nor hindering

Therefore, I believe the Democratic Party best represents my views on government because I agree with the party’s liberal views. The Democratic-Republicans followed a strict interpretation of the constitution, where Federalists believed that the document was up for interpretation, and followed a loose construction. The Federalists believed that there should be a strong central government and that elected officials should not be directly influenced by the people. Essentially, they believed that the people would make poor decisions, if left to their own devices. They represented the elite and well off of society. The Democratic-Republicans thought that there should be a small central government, meaning that the power stayed with the states.

The party was originated by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. The party was created as a response of opposition to Hamilton’s Federalist Party who vouched for a strong national government. The Democratic-Republicans believed that a Federal government would only weaken the authority granted by the states. The party was built on the conservation of the Constitution to not be neglected but enforced in order to maintain civility. Democratic-Republicans fundamentally understood the United States as a confederation of diverse entities or states that unified under specific common interests [6].

Lastly, they strongly believe that the government should provide taxpayer funded abortions for women who cannot afford them ("Conservative vs. Liberal Beliefs"). On the other hand, Republican views on abortion are opposite of the Democratic view. They believe that the human life begins at conception; disagreeing with the Democratic belief that a fetus is not a human life. Republicans biggest belief is that abortion is murder ("Conservative vs. Liberal Beliefs"). Everybody hears about their party not agreeing with some of the views their party believes in, but not many people have heard about an elected official not agreeing and

The independent party promotes Christianity and peaceful religions. The American Independent Party believes in strong military. Also that they have free will. The independent doesn’t give money to other countries. They believe that every family should be together.

The GOP support Second Amendment rights, the right to bear arms, to ensure that everyone has the ability to defend themselves not only from criminals, but also from enemies trying to attack. Abortion is not viewed favorably by most Republicans and neither is stem-cell research. The Republicans are also mainly against LGBT marriage rights but not just because they do not agree with the idea, but because they believe the decision should be left to the states. The Democrats are the complete opposite. Democrats try to limit the Second Amendment as much as possible.
