Throughout the world we all have different political ideologies, meaning we all have different ideas and values about how the role of government should function. We base these ideas and values from our religious background, culture and our philosophical beliefs. Our country in particular has the luxury of deciding who gets to rule because we are a democracy. The two significant political ideologies that are well known around our country are liberal and conservative philosophies. The two ideologies have never seen eye to eye when it comes to many public policies but this one had many Americans involved. To grasp what factor played a role on deciding the ruling of the case (whether same sex marriage should be legal) we must look into the dynamics of the ideologies to see where they stood and how this controversial issue was resolved. By definition a conservative is “a person who is averse to change and holds to traditional values and attitudes, typically in relation to politics.” Conservatives want to preserve the traditional values of America and protect the the American values and that’s where you will see the differences between the conservative and liberal beliefs because liberals want to change the Americans values and alter them. They also believe marriage is the union of two people who love each other and this means that no matter what gender you are you have the right to marry and denying anyone this right is in violation of their civil rights. “For example, in Loving v. The original political parties in America differed on their views for many things. For instance, a national bank, amount of strength for the government, and the interpretations of the Constitution. One of their biggest disagreements is the view of an alliance with the British vs. an alliance with the French. The Federalists wanted a British alliance over a French alliance.
Difference Of Political Parties Political parties are a group of people with similar aims and goals for their government. In the 1700’s the colonies had detached from Great Britain and become independent. With the new opportunities and freedoms leaders began to rise, The two most important leaders were Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson. Hamilton and Jefferson believed in two very different ways to structure the government now known as anti federalists and federalists. Due to the obvious conflict between Hamilton and Jefferson people with different political views died for what they believed in, became ruthless, and deepened the hatred they had for eachother.
Party Identification - measures a voter’s sense of psychological attachment to a political party. In any given election, some voters who generally identify with one party may vote for a candidate from another party. In 2012-2013: 32 percent of voters identified themselves with the Democratic Party Has more women, minorities, and young members than the population at large.

The national Republican and Democratic parties share similar values in comparison to their stately counterparts. Democrats on both levels are seen as more open-minded and liberal in their values and beliefs, while Republicans on both levels are seen as strict and conservative. The two levels relate to one another, creating a very seamless and strong message. Even though there are multiple similarities to one another, there are differences between national and state party platforms. The overarching difference between the two ends up being that state political parties spend more time and effort on local personalities and issues, while the national parties spends more effort on larger, more pressing issues.

This led to a conflict between the two groups, with the conservatives often opposing progressive reforms. Political Ideology is not a label, it's not black and white. Political ideology is not right and wrong, and for the last gosh darn time political ideology is not a set of rules. You do not know anything about someone because you know their political ideology.
Lastly, they strongly believe that the government should provide taxpayer funded abortions for women who cannot afford them ("Conservative vs. Liberal Beliefs"). On the other hand, Republican views on abortion are opposite of the Democratic view. They believe that the human life begins at conception; disagreeing with the Democratic belief that a fetus is not a human life. Republicans biggest belief is that abortion is murder ("Conservative vs. Liberal Beliefs"). Everybody hears about their party not agreeing with some of the views their party believes in, but not many people have heard about an elected official not agreeing and
Conservatism was an ideology in which people had ideas and beliefs to preserve the current order. Conservatives believed in tradition over reason and in the hierarchy of birth rather than liberals, who believed in the hierarchy of merit. Conservatives believed in security and stability as well. One of their great leaders, Otto von Bismarck, created social programs, health programs, and guaranteed retirement programs for society. Conservatives believed that being loyal to the state will insure that you will be protected by the state.
The independent party promotes Christianity and peaceful religions. The American Independent Party believes in strong military. Also that they have free will. The independent doesn’t give money to other countries. They believe that every family should be together.
It can be hard to find your political view. Sometimes it takes time and research on political issues in our country and around the world. There are two popular political views; conservative and liberal. The definition for a conservative; is holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion. Liberal definition is; open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.
When it comes to the Republicans, they are known to be conservative. Political parties fuel the fire of our nation's citizen’s political views.
