In police work, each investigation has a specific set of duties and responsibilities that officers must carry out in order to successfully prosecute a suspect. Because victims want justice against the suspect, police officers must make sure to perform their duties to the utmost highest level that they can perform them. However, out of the various types of crime, domestic violence is possibly the most rigorous crime to deal with during an investigation. Because of the amount of work needed to prove the crime of domestic violence, it is no surprise that police officers have a lot of duties to perform whenever a domestic violence crime arises.

Because of the concept of statute of limitations, it is imperative for a police officer to actively submit police reports within a reasonable manner. If the prosecutor does not receive the information needed to indict a suspect, then he cannot prosecute the charge of domestic violence. This not only can lead to a suspect being released, but it can also lead to a victim becoming the suspect’s target again.
Domestic Violence in Arizona
In the Arizona statutes, the crime of domestic violence is defined as a criminal act that is committed by one family or household member against another (“Arizona Domestic Violence Laws”, n.d.). Arizona's definition of domestic violence opens up a wide range of crimes that police officers can also charge suspects along with domestic violence. Because of this, crimes such as stalking, sexual assault, and even resisting arrest can be charged along with a charge for domestic violence if the victim and suspect were living together or in a serious relationship.

INTRODUCTION: This incident involved the arrest of Suspect Darlene Marie Salseda for domestic battery. Salseda and Victim Emmanuel Richard Guerrero have been in a dating relationship for approximately one year and have not lived together during their relationship. INJURIES: Victim Guerrero sustained a half inch cut along the inner portion of his right middle finger. Suspect Salseda did not sustain any visible injuries or complain of any pain.

This information is important to know so that one can understand how devastating domestic violence is in our state.
There is a saying in the Oklahoma City Police academy, “bring everything, everyday.” This statement is a lesson to the recruits to make sure they have everything. Because you never know what you are going to need, like black cross trainers, which is what I did not bring. I failed when it came to following through on the statement of “bring everything, everyday.” I did not bring my cross trainers, honestly because I did not think we would need them.
The “Peace Officer’s Bill of Rights” provide law enforcement officers many of the same rights and privileges of that of the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights. The officers require more protection to prevent coercion from internal investigations that they could easily face during their career. The peace officers bill of rights stemmed from officers wanting a little greater safeguard that protects them from “perceived arbitrary infringement of their rights (Peak, Gaines, & Glenson, 2009, p. 246). According to our text, these statutes identify they type of material that must be afforded to the officer, as to their responsibility to cooperate during the investigation, the right to representation, and the rules and procedures concerning the gathering evidence, especially the interrogation of the officer” (Peak et al., 2009, p. 246).
The NSW Police Force (NSWPF) are expected to comply with the ideals and expectations outlined in legislation and policy documents. These documents provide ethical, moral and legal principles to shape the decision-making process of police in the execution of their duty. This essay will discuss the failures of police to comply with these principles in dealing with potential juvenile offenders in the scenario. It will do this by examining their actions with reference to NSW legislation and relevant police force policy documents, discretionary powers and their application in the scenario, and communication techniques which could have had a more positive impact while complying with the directives of the NSWPF.
In my current role as Probation and Parole Officer, I have learned and gain a lot of experience with the Delaware Court System. While supervising individuals on level 2 Domestic Violence, level 2 interstate and current case load standard level 2 and pre-trial supervision, I have gain a lot of experience with the different court systems which entails, Family Court, Court of Common Pleas, Superior Court, and Justice of Peace. When the court orders an individual to serve Probation, It is my duties to make sure I’m enforcing the terms and conditions of supervision and keeping the Court informed of the individuals compliance or noncompliance. The courts have various programs and resources they can implement to not only help the individual but also the probation officer with their recommendation. The court can request that an individual get evaluated by a physiatrist (most time the evaluation is funded by the state).

As I embark on the newest chapter in my life it occurs to me that I must first take time to fully process and appreciate the magnitude of what it really is to be a Warrant Officer in the United States Army. From my own perspective as well as the perspective seen from society I can see my new responsibilities will hold a paramount position in many different aspects. This being said, I can look forward to a major shift in what my focus will be and how my decisions will directly impact those around me. My personal desire to become a Warrant officer stems from my constant thirst to grow and influence my surroundings.

I hope to learn how to serve and protect while implementing the law correctly, especially in today’s world when the level of support for police officers is very low and the level of misconduct cases concerning the police are very high. It is not easy to know what to do in every situation, especially when some reactions are needed with very little or no time to think about. When it comes to having and being able to maintain a strong moral code, front line patrol officers are the perfect example of what law enforcement requires. To ensure front line patrol officers maintain a strong moral code, they must be able to keep their integrity on and off duty. Officers should have this characteristic before they are hired and should be open for the police academy to repair and strengthen them. Law enforcement requires not only physical strength within the policing work field but also strength within one’s values and their ethical as well as moral beliefs. ‘’Values is the term given to those ideas, behaviors, and actions that are important to us.
Corruption is a type of misconduct and offense in which the police break their contract and oath by abusing their power for personal gain or even for departmental gain. Bribery- police officer receives bribes so that they cannot write tickets for people who have gone against the law for example, from prostitutes and gambling, bribery does not only affect the united states but its world spread, examples of other countries with highest percentage of bribery are Pakistan and France. b. Assault on suspects- police officers use excessive force on suspects leading to injuries and at times suspects end up dying in their custody. Some police officers have been charged with murder of suspects in their custody.
One of the challenges includes job responsibilities and expectations. The law enforcement community and officers may have varying responsibilities when it comes to their jobs, missions as well as professional cultures with varying expectations in regards to the definition of bullying, what constitutes suitable response4s to bullying and the ways it can be prevented. Law enforcement officers and school personnel’s more often operate according to various rules. For instance, school officials have a set of school rules and codes to enforce while law enforcement officers must at all times uphold the law. Another challenge is negative perception.
