Nicole argues for years, America has barely made any effort on improving the use of force by police officers. For example, victims such as Rodney King and Amadou Diallo, led to some reforms, but did not solve the violence of police brutality. With the beating of Rodney King that was captured on camera, it sparked massive outrage that led to a riot when the police officers received no charges. Because of the riots, it created a momentum for a reform of the police.

Humans are programmed to create communities, and communities create institutions. Unfortunately, our American institutions are failing to adapt to the ever-changing world. The ‘community” of America continues to change every minute of every day and American institutions, not only remain the same, but are falling behind. Many institutions in America have failed, but are utilized still.

While some citizens argue that police officers are doing their job, there is proof and evidence that they are not. I dispute that police brutality does exist in our world. Yes, there are definitely situations in today’s society where moments of segregation resurface. Police Brutality is still a recent and continuous issue that affects oppressed groups, and unfortunately it has not become less violent. There has also been the discussion of cultural appropriation, where a country’s culture will be criticized by a person (usually one of privilege) and then used as a form of mockery, not corresponding with that culture’s actual symbolism. A minority will display his/her culture and be targeted inappropriately whereas a privileged person appropriates a culture, with it being seen as a new trend in today’s society.
Suppressing America through Police Brutality Children look up to police officers as if they are heros, ridding the world of all crimes and bringing harmony to their city. This police brutality is not just on any average citizen. Blacks are astronomically affected by the Police force, having them wonder if they are truly protected in this country.
America was founded upon the ideals of equality and freedom, so why have the citizens taken it upon themselves to sacrifice the very values that are the foundation of The United States? Racism is presumably nonexistent by many Americans who refuse to face the facts even though many movements, such as the black lives matter movement, have drawn attention to the racist acts that have occurred. Inconsistencies within the police department have given rise to long existing prejudices and given people a reason to believe racism has persisted in America. Racism still exists in America because of distant events in the past that have created stereotypes passed on through the generations and stereotypes upheld in the police system. Previously spread

Unfortunately, the tension between police and blacks grew over the past few decades.
It was last year when I fell victim to a case of police brutality. Police brutality is described as the use of excessive force, usually physical, but it comes in the forms of verbal attacks aswell. I, Mr Harris was beaten by plainclothes officers on the doorstep of my own home. It was the 21st of December 2014 around 12:00am when I received a knock on the door, I proceeded to open it only to see two officers dressed in plain clothes. I didn’t remember much from there only that they said ‘you are under arrest’
