Do you want to live your whole life in fear or do you want to be safe? Vaccines can help you be safe because they help protect you from dangerous diseases that are spreading. Vaccines don’t only help you, they also help your family, future generations and even the people around you anywhere. Vaccines are an injection into your body to help make your body immune to harmful diseases. Vaccines are good for society because they save lives, they save people time and money, and they are safe.
The main reason that people get vaccinated is to save their life. Vaccines make whoever took it used to the disease, so that when it spreads, they won’t get affected. “Some diseases that once injured or killed thousands of children, have been eliminated completely and others are close to extinction– primarily due to safe and effective

Nobody should be scared to get vaccinated because there is only a one in a million chance of someone getting a side effect of a vaccine. “Vaccines will involve some discomfort and may cause pain, redness, or tenderness at the site of injection but this is minimal compared to the pain, discomfort, and trauma of the diseases these vaccines prevent” (Vaccines.gov). Before people are even given vaccines, doctors look at how your body is doing to see if you are ready to get vaccinated. Vaccines have a lot of positives for them and people shouldn’t be scared for one tiny reason that has a small chance of happening. Vaccines are even backed by many medical organizations. "Vaccines are some of the safest medical products available" (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services). Other organizations like the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Institute of Medicine (IOM), and the World Health Organization (WHO) also say that vaccines are safe. Everyone should get vaccinated knowing that only good can come out of it and that it is proven to
Immunizations can save a child’s life; due to the medical advances that have taken place, kids are now protected from many illness/ diseases. At one point in time, Polio was a horrible illness that is now preventable by simply receiving a shot (USDHHS, n.d.). Immunizations protect not only the individual receiving the vaccination, but others as well. Certain individuals are not suitable for specific vaccinations, therefore, if everyone else has the vaccination, the people who cannot are more likely to be safe from the illness (USDHHS, n.d). Generally, immunizations are safe, effective, cheaper in the long run, and can save families time.
Immunization will prevent you and others from contracting a disease as well as dealing with all the expenses that come along with treating that disease. Everyone should make getting vaccinated a priority for their health and for others.
It allows your body to learn what they should fight against. However, the vaccine effects will not make you sick, since it’s not an alive germ. As the disease enters the body, it alarms the your defense system and starts to create antibodies to kill the germ. The vaccine strengthens your immune system, so a disease will never infect you even if you come in contact with someone who has one. Having a strong immune system is a crucial part to ensure your children are
To begin with, I honestly didn’t know the importance of vaccination. After watching Calling The Shots, I truly believe that vaccines can save many lives and prevent a lot of diseases. I am now aware of the epidemics that are surfacing the air. It is mind-boggling that many of these diseases, travel in the air and anyone can be affected if they are not shielded. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Due to some diseases that have taken thousands of children's lives, vaccines have eliminated diseases completely and others are close to being extinct too. In the article, “Five Important Reasons to Vaccinate Your Child,” the Department of Health and Human Services takes a firm stand on the importance of getting a child vaccinated and how it can potentially save the lives of thousands of children in the United States. The Department of Health and Human Services believes that vaccines will save children’s lives. The article states, while some people choose not to vaccinate their children because of possible side effects that are associated with them or the harmful ingredients that are in the vaccine, that is minor compared to the actual disease they are protecting against. The Department of Health and Human Services argues that vaccines are safe and effective.
I will be writing about whether to vaccinate or not vaccinate your children. I will then give my own opinions about whether I am in favor of vaccinating or not vaccinating children. It is important to know whether you should vaccinate your children or not and how you should do it. I will be giving facts found from websites and cite the websites. I will be talking about one side and the other.
I think getting vaccinated would help many people in so many ways. I heard many arguments about vaccines and most of them are positive arguments. If I were to become a parent, I would definitely have my kid get vaccinated because I want my kid to be healthy and free from any illnesses that could come. This is my reason and belief of why people should get vaccinated. Although I believe children should get vaccinated, many believe that they should not.
Each year in the U.S., 50,000 adults die from a disease that could have easily been prevented if they simply got vaccinated. Also, most vaccines are for deadly diseases; if someone neglects getting vaccinated, that makes them very vulnerable. Vaccines are a very safe way to prevent illness. In fact, each vaccine has to pass through a major inspection to make
At present, there are over twenty various diseases in the US and over fifty available vaccinations. (Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp.) The benefits far out way the risks of not vaccinating. A number of reasons are: it reduces the spread of the disease and lowers the possibility of infection. Reading the article on Whooping cough and the outbreak in Kentucky supports the argument that vaccinations are tremendously essential. “In February 2012, officials in Ocean County, NJ had 14 confirmed cases of whooping cough and were investing more.”
Vaccines are like traffic lights; they ensure the safety of the public, be in heavily crowded areas, like schools, or densely trafficked roads. Traffic lights only work when all people follow the rules. If a car runs a red light, the car runs the risk of killing innocent pedestrians who are complying with the prescribed rules. Vaccines, if not utilized by most people, are ineffective. Even though some parents are concerned over the safety of vaccines, children who go to public schools should not be granted exemptions because vaccines are necessary to prevent outbreaks, children who do not receive vaccines are at risk of disease, and medically compromised children rely on vaccines to prevent disease.
Many people may think that vaccination is a bad thing, that instead of preventing it causes illness, that is not natural. Natural or not, there are many reasons as to why we should vaccinate us and the younger generation. Most of the time children don’t like vaccination because it hurt, but is the responsibility of a parent to seek the wellbeing of his or her child. Vaccination it’s a preventive measure of various diseases. Unfortunately, things like the anti-vaccination movement, the misinformation on the Internet, and the believe that vaccination causes more damage than is worth, have led our society to think that it’s right not to vaccinate.
How likely is it for a child to get a disease? “Statistically, the chance of your child getting a vaccine-preventable disease may be relatively low. You are making a wager” (Childhood 1). Mainly, parents don’t want their children to be vaccinated in order to attend public school or tend to lack taking them on time to get the shots. A vaccination is being introduced to the body which will then produce an immunity to a specific disease.
Vaccinations can simply save lives. It gets the immune system stronger to prevent viruses to affect our body. Vaccines do not make the body sick. Although, they do put a tiny dose of the disease in the person to strengthen the immune system to prevent an attack of a stronger dose of the disease. It is better to not have to deal with the disease at all than trying to deal with it after you
These are the most important reasons in my opinion that all people should be vaccinated. Disease, what is a disease? A disease is either a bacterial or viral infection that can be spread from person to person. If you are vaccinated for that particular disease you have a less likely chace of getting it. In highly populated areas diseases are much
Child Vaccinations Throughout the years there has been an increase in the debate on child vaccinations. People have been debating on whether vaccinations for children at young ages is generally safe. There are numerous organizations throughout the United States that deal with child vaccinations. Some people comprehend that child vaccinations damage a child’s body more than they help it, others think different.
