Mathematics is a necessary skill that we have to possess in our daily lives. Including statistical knowledge, mathematics can not only help us solve simple calculations, but also changes conversations and encourage the disruptive innovation in the 21st century. Your lockers and bags can be searched, your phones can be confiscated by teachers, and surveillance cameras in the hallways and parking lots shows that no matter what you do not have the right to privacy. Additionally, even when you send out an email or text it does not go straight to your desired destination. It goes from your device to an archiving service and then to the person you want to receive it. This service can find any contact you have made with anyone electronically within seconds. So many forms of communication and technology usage is tracked and many Americans do not even realize.

The first attempt and success to climb Mt. Everest occured in 1953. Since then, almost 4,000 people have been able to scale the mountain, but over 230 people have not been able to climb it successfully. There is a chance of accident or death when climbing this mountain or any dangerous activity. All people should should have the right to rescue services even if they knowingly put themselves at risk because there is always a chance of an accident happening, rangers are there to save people in danger, and there are rescue vehicles being produced to be used in case of an emergency.

While reading 1984, you begin to realize that this can become our reality in the near future. Almost everything we do now is halfway done for us. Technology takes the need to have common sense and throws it away. People are so involved in technology now that they are unaware of what is actually happening around them. Technology may be important and to a certain degree absolutely necessary; however, in the movie Wall-E it is present that becoming too involved in technology will end up ruining our lives and everything around us. It is apparent that technology has many positive roles in daily lives, but looking deep into technology, the consequences of it can be quite alarming

The purpose of making a claim is to be persuasive at all cost. Having visuals when you are trying to present a claim is very important in fact its crucial in your claim. When you have visuals in your claim the audience, is able to react to it, thus making them believe that your social problem must be addressed immediately. For example, the destruction of nature. Many people don’t believe that the destruction of nature is actually happening, but when you take two pictures of the same biome with different time (years) one being untouched by humans and the other one being touched by humans you can notice the destruction of that biome.

Big Data refers to the massive amounts of structured and unstructured data that is collected over time from various internal as well as external sources. Enterprises are facing challenges in integrating these new and different types of data and also turning this data into meaningful information. The data is growing at a tremendous rate due to increase in connectedness of machines and people. Analyzing this data to extract sensible and meaningful insights is a big challenging task; integrating and optimizing this data, storing, organizing and analyzing is a challenge. The Big Data must be captured, stored, organized and analyzed to influence the decision making in any enterprise or business

As big data things continue to grow in this modern era, today we can learn how to predict or assume anything that will happen in the future with data from the past. This studies known as Predictive Analytics. Predictive analytics combine methods from machine learning, data mining and statistics to find meaning or pattern from a huge volume of data. Tom H Davenport, a senior advisor at Deloitte Analytics has broken down three primer models on doing predictive analytics: the data, statistics, and assumptions.

You think you know, but you don´t. Internet can be a very good thing. But it can also be the most dangerous thing you´ll ever use. Abstract - This work in progress presents some initial findings concerning the use of gamification and persuasive technology in the domain of reaching a set sustainability goal by using persuasive systems. Both gamification and persuasive technology have become more pervasive elements in the research community in the domain of human-computer interaction (HCI) and information systems. I argue a need for research addressing the design of these systems since we currently have a vague understanding of the underlying mechanism. Sustainability is genuinely complex and the designer of a persuasive system with a set sustainability goal must consider numerous parameters when designing the artefact. INTRODUCTION

I prefer online learning "its allows for learning in distant or disadvantaged locations, online education is easy to access and provides a convenient way to obtain course materials such as homework, exams, schedules, test scores and more" I say this because some students may need a little more time to understand the material that is getting taught. Another reason is fitting school into students ' schedules. Some people are lucky to go to school and be carefree. On the other hand, some kids have to work and help provide for their families and can 't afford to be at school all day. Well online learning can help with that in a major way.
