For example Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King Jr. and Haley Schmutz all live by this quote. Albert Einstein lived by the quote “ To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment” by Ralph Waldo Emerson because was a different thinker. Einstein was a different kind of thinker than others because thinking outside the box was one of him many differences than others.(Anderson 23).

Each one has learned many lessons from their courses in life which established their personal morality. During my high school career I have made a consistent effort to stay involved in both my school and community. Through clubs such as Key Club, National Art Honor Society, and National Honor Society I’ve been able to help out locally and globally in an abundance of ways. In Key club and NHS I am able to volunteer in traditional ways, but National Arts Honors Society allows me to contribute to my community and school in a creative way that stimulates people 's minds through art. Due to these activities having a significant impact on my life my future career options are based around what I have learned from them.

I have developed leadership qualities when my Tae Kwon Do coach trusted me to lead our team during national championships. This has led me to then hold various leadership positions in undergraduate and dental school clubs. Moreover, my critical thinking abilities have excelled from being a mathematics and physics tutor. Tutoring has always challenged me to think outside the box in complicated problems, and this would allow me to use my creative skills when facing complex cases in my field. Persistence is another key element that is crucial in success.

From a young age, I learned to be very independent, and this independence has led me to gain leadership skills that have proven valuable in school. As Vice-President of National Honor Society, I have helped take charge of more than a hundred members and helped direct and organize community service events. Why do I want to attend college? College is an honorary achievement and it separates the determined from the undetermined. Owning a college to degree is an honor and an ecstatic feeling. Through college, that job is that much closer in the grasp. Through college, a person can perform at an elite level and really push themselves for greatness.

One of the obstacles at nationals was a door with a simple two-pronged latch. Instead of using the conventional method of maneuvering a probe to lift the door latch, we created a motor powered latch opener out of Legos to open the latch as we approached it. Hundreds of students learned how to make and operate an underwater ROV over the course of that competition, but we were the only ones who properly designed and implemented a motor powered latch opener. Skills can be taught quickly, but a liberally educated mind, a creative mind, sets one apart and has infinite value. What separates me from my contemporaries is that, because of my course work in both the sciences and the liberal arts, I am able to see problems within a broader context and consequently provide unique solutions to the problems of today.

Doing what I love and being able to support myself and loved ones is important to me. I am a very independent person and I like to do things my way. I like to set individual goals everyday, whether that means doing my homework before a certain time, or completing something for the week. They help me get my work done on time and efficiently.

However, in the last few years I have realized that my passion for human rights advocacy is my natural calling which I am destined to pursue. As I entered my first year of college at the University of Maryland – College Park, I took a specific interest in a group known as Consult Your Community. The organization allows undergraduate students to engage with low-income and minority-owned small businesses to provide pro bono consulting services.

In five years, I hope to be in college, studying about something I'm interested in. I want to get into a good college with a great psychology program where I can learn enough about it so I can turn it into a progression. One thing I've noticed is that it's hard to find a hobby which is directly related to psychology, unlike other professions where your hobbies can be very similar to what you would be doing in that job. I believe that given the environment I was born into, where I have had to help many people to get through tough periods in their lives, I could be a good psychologist. This being my reality, I have grown to enjoy listening to people’s problems and difficulties and trying to help them to the best of my abilities.

You get what you work for, not what wish for. Goals aren’t easily fulfilled, you have to work hard at them. Having personal goals motivates a person to become more successful. I strongly believe in setting goals because I feel a sense of accomplishment when I achieve these goals. It will improve their happiness level if they accomplish something great.
