I am interested in being a k9 police officer. Ive been in criminal justice this year and the past year. I love knowing the laws and being in command. Dogs are my favorite animal. I love them as much as you could love your mom. I have 2 large dogs and my mom has 2 small dogs. My biggest dog is Rocky, weighs about 150lbs.

You have to take care of your dog and live with it. Then there are actual duties you will need to perform. Dogs can detect illegal substances, chemicals, and bombs. They're also capable of pursuing fugitive on foot for miles at a time. Can track and rescue missing people. Find buried or lost bodies, and should see if a perk is under a controlled substance. K9 officers really help law enforcers tremendously and they do their duties.
To become a member of the k9 unit, you must have been an officer already and is still in the force. Then you could get the promotion for the unit. The requirements are the same as a regular law enforcer but have to go through the separate training for it. Requires endurance so you can keep up with you dog, lift your dog over a 6 foot wall. The completion of a criminal justice degree in college.
My education plan involves me finishing the votec course i am in now for forensic science. Then go to college and get a degree in criminal law. Go to the academy and pay the fines I owe. Be on the force for a while then hopefully I’ll get promoted to the k9 unit.
