I woke up at around nine and put on clothes. I walked into the bathroom and saw that I looked like a clown. I had taken a shower the night before and my hair was still wet when I fell asleep, so my hair was sticking up in every direction. I straightened my hair and waited for Amy and Lori to arrive at our house. They finally showed up and we drove to Wichita. We finally showed up at a place called Boba Zone. We got out of the car to get some Boba tea but we saw that Boba Zone wasn’t open until 11:00 a.m. It was around 10:50 so we had a little time before it opened. Sally Beauty Supply was just down the street so the 4 of us went and spent some time there. My mom ended up buying me some new shampoo and conditioner because it was on …show more content…
“Alright I’m gonna ask you to lay down,” Jordan said. I laid down on the bed thing, and turned my head so he could see my ear. “Ok. Take a deep breath in.” I took a deep breath. “Now exhale.” As I exhaled Jordan shoved the needle through my ear. It wasn’t that bad. Getting the jewelry put in my ear was a different story. It ended up hurting much more than getting the needle shoved through my ear did. The second ear, however, was the complete opposite. It hurt more getting the needle shoved through my ear than getting the jewelry put in. I slowly sat up and got down from the stool. My legs felt like jello. I was a little shaky and my ears hurt like hell. Even though it did hurt really bad, I was really glad that I had finally gotten it done. I asked my mom if I could have a little Advil and she said yes. So I took some Advil from Lori and after a while it started to kick in. My ears were still throbbing, but it didn’t hurt as much. Amy went after I did and then after Amy, was Lori. When we were all done, we walked out of the room and it was a lot more crowded than when we first showed up. The entire lobby area was full of people. Which meant that it was a good thing we showed up when we
This would go away on its own with ibuprofen and some rest. There was no telling which one it was. It was a huge gamble, but my parents decided on the
For fifteen years, I put my heart, effort, and soul into my band Murky Waters. I made it into a career that supports my wife, my stepdaughter, and my parents. Murky Waters is what saved my family and me from poverty in the ghetto of Warsaw, Poland, and it’s what saved me from giving up on life entirely before I met my wife. I met her only a year after Murky Waters began and she was introduced to me by my best friend and drummer, Tony. Anka was two months pregnant with my stepdaughter, Antonia, at the time we met.
After all of that we went straight to bed. Next morning my mom decided to go out to eat because we were all tired and hungry. We went to this breakfast restaurant that I forgot the name of which was really good. I obviously had the coffee, and the omelette. After the delicious salty breakfast we went out to the downtown part of ludington.
Over the weekend, I went to Starbucks with a friend, and knowing that I would need to engage in mindful listening for my communication portfolio. I had taken the opportunity. Even though I did not let my friend know what I was aiming to do. One demonstrates mindful listening when they are careful and thoughtful, processing a high level of information in response to other’s message. This was the perfect moment to practice mindful listening because my friend was sharing his issues regarding other relationships.
I saw the needle in his hand it looked as long as a ruler in my school pencil box and tensed…. He slid the needle in my ear and punctured my eardrum with it. The pain was beyond anything I have ever felt since...” (King 11).
1 I woke up monday morning with the one thought in my mind - Rye Neck. We had gone all the way last year to the section final with them, and after me hitting the pipe in the final minutes to win it, they scored on the counterattack and won the the section. I had never experienced a loss like this one. I was the kid on the team who before the season started, no one really knew if I was good or not.
This Deaf event was very different form every other deaf event that I’ve went to in the past. Let me start of by saying it was a far drive, I drove 28 miles to a place I have never been to, but it was worth the drive. This event was expensive but the reason I chose to go to this event was because it was the only one that fit in with my weekly schedule. As got to the event I was a bit late and everyone had taken their seats and there were no more seats left. But this very nice lady came to my rescue and found me a seat.
My personal Artifact is a baseball my son and I caught at the Giants game. It is white, round, has red stitches, and is smooth when new, but when we caught it it was beat up and the blue writing on it was smeared. A baseball is small and light in size. It can be thrown at speeds up to 100 MPH, or hit at at speeds higher than 100MPH, so when playing the game or watching you should be paying attention at all times. A baseball is made of a rubber or cork center, wrapped in yarn very tight, covered by white leather with red stitching around the out side, making it a very hard ball.
It was a hectic day. My friend had to call and have his grandparents pick him up which took about 45 minutes because they lived kind of far away. During that time, my dad told me “pack your bags, we need to go visit your grandmother” I remember that I didn’t pack much because I couldn’t think. My mom immediately booked us plane tickets to Portland. It was super close but we made the flight.
Before I knew it the pain was getting stronger each time and started to overwhelm me. The pain it was something I would never forget. I started to panic, I started to yell and swear. Before I knew it the ambulance finally came and help me, I also like to thank the people who stayed back and helped me. Once we got to the hospital, I didn't really know what happen after that.
What did you physically experience during this simulation? I was the first to get my ears plugged for this hearing loss simulation. Beforehand, I thought that this experience would not be too difficult, but the instant I had those earplugs inserted, I realized just how difficult this would actually before. I felt a slight pressure in my head, and approximately a 40-50% loss in my overall hearing ability.
It hurts, little guy. But I have to use a vein, and the veins in your arms are still too teeny-weeny.” He pushed the plunger very slowly, injecting the liquid into the scalp vein until the syringe was empty.¨
We woke up full of energy and ate breakfast. My mom had a few more things to pack up. We had to wait for her in the car. As soon as my mom came my dad turned the car on and we started the trip. The roads were very slippery
Many people feel pain more acutely than others. Many people feel inclined to have another tattoo soon – that is a sign of the bare ability with the pain. Large tattoos are done over a period of time, to give the wearer time for you to rest after each session. And yes, if the tattooist perforates skin, you will see moderate bleeding. It a very good idea for being well rested before your first tattoo!
Infections aren’t always due to poor shop cleanliness or a bad technician. The most common cause of infection is poor aftercare. Typically after a tattoo or piercing the person who did it gives the client a very specific set of instructions on keeping their new body modification clean so it heals properly, if these instructions are ignored or not done correctly then it could have painful results.
