Snaider Family Scholarship Being an Athlete there can be many times where you could find yourself in a difficult situation. Over time you learn how to handle the pressure and are better able to cope with it even though it is still a difficult and stressful situation. A time that stands out to me as my team being in a difficult situation was last year during the Softball Championship. That year was a great year for our team we were the champions of our conference and had made it all the way to the State Championship for 1A schools. We had already won a game and lost a game to our opponents and this was the final game. If we won it we would become state champions, but if we lost we were done. Everyone on the team had worked hard all season
When anyone on the 2015 North Pocono baseball team is asked what comes to mind when they think of last season, it’s the loss to Abington in the district semifinals. Not the fact that ten of thirteen league games were won or that a league title was won, but it was the bitter end to a phenomenal season. This year, my junior year, things will hopefully go better than the previous year. The plan is to have the best work ethic as a team, team chemistry to be sky high, and to win the state championship.
When we went to county and ended up moving on to state, we were extremely excited yet a little surprised. We had almost no expectations for how we would do in the competition, and we were
I would start off by stating that this is my second attempt at trying to get into the Riordan Scholars Program. Last year I tried, but unfortunately you guys didn 't get the transcript. From the response that I got when I was told that I wasn 't invited,it seemed as if you guys were trying sort of inviting me back to the program. Like I stated before this is my second attempt at trying to get in. As much as I hate to face it,I live in an inner city.
I´ve just got out of the ferry so that I can cross the river and John is acting happy, maybe because the Confederates haven´t caught us yet. I´m glad that I crossed the river too but maybe one day we might be caught. Willie and his friends are taking John and me over Locust Hill, to what he says, the Garretts farm. The Garretts turned out to be kind and let John stay at there house for the night while I join the soldiers to a nearby town.
The Cougars Final Game Doesn’t every team want to win their first state title. In a little town in Iowa, the team Iowa Cougars were going for their first state title. The team was being lead with their senior named Anthony Soto. He has been the starting quarterback every year. He had no injuries all 4 years so no one else got a chance.
My Michigan Hero I want you to think of someone special, to think of a hero. When I think of a hero I think of my dad. I remember when I was younger, and I didn’t like to read. My dad taught me just how amazing reading is.
In our minds, the state title was already won. Early season success led us to believe our prediction would come true. Meet after meet led to one win after another. We looked unstoppable. But things quickly changed later in the season when one of our better runners had to sit out for an extended period of time with a pulled hip flexor.
I am a pioneer! My pioneer story isn’t your average Latter Day Saint pioneer story, as far as historical LDS stories go! I was raised by goodly parents, I was born and raised in Spokane Washington. I am the youngest of three children born to Jim and Shannon Newell. My brother James is the oldest and four years older than myself.
I hope what we did shows them, no matter your size, no matter your age, no matter height or weight, if you put more work in then the next guy you will be successful. No matter what just play you heart out and leave it all on the field. Do to the actions my teams and I have accomplished in those years I believe my family will think highly of me for working hard and playing my heart out, but that's part of the reason they will think highly of me. I feel they will because we set the bar high for the oncoming district teams as they will have to work insanely hard and long so they can accomplish something we didn't. As I may be athletic and played in the regional tournament I wanna be remembered for something more then that, I wanna be remembered for who I am as a person, my traits could have played into this as I am the person to make people laugh when down, or always joking around and happy, alone side that I am hardworking and I want my teachers to always remember me for that as I work hard day in and out during school.
I grew up in Houston, Texas and lived at the same address with the same parents for over 18 years until I moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. Memorial Park sat directly across the street from our 900 square foot, 4 bedroom/1 bathroom bungalow (according to the realtors who later handled the estate) I remember the days of walking out our front door, through the gate in our chain link fence and crossing the street into my "front yard,” almost 1,500 acres of land filled with pine trees, playgrounds, swimming pools, and softball fields. I grew up knowing all the families on our street and most families in our neighborhood. The Jurgen family, Ray and Gladys, and their three children, Kevin, Karl, and Kay were our closest friends.
Well there we were we had one more team to beat to get the state champs title. I 'm the Oakland thunder 's half back and i 'm a line backer. I 'm 16, and 210 lbs i can hit. We just got here and i lead the warm ups we were doing hitting drills at that point, that 's when things went bad we all hear a snap and we all crowd around our quarterback.
There are some people that I can’t imagine living life without. I can’t live life without my friends from school, my blood family, or my dogs. Though I cannot live without any of the entities I just listed, there is someone that I know, this person is special. This person has left a big impact on my life, and his name is Jody. I remember when me, my mom, my sister, and Jody would go to Culvers every week that I was with my mom.
I kept going for the guy next to me performing to the best to his ability. Success was the result of all the hard relentless work done throughout June into August. I acknowledged that my team had a good group of seniors who were high character student-athletes I spent most of childhood with. Ultimately finishing with a record of 3 wins and 7 loses taught me many lessons on becoming a better person and
“The two opportunities I was able to go to the State Tournament were definitely my highlight moments.” Degler said. “It’s an experience you don’t always get to have, and we had a good group of girls who played hard and it all came together for us, we didn’t know it at the time but it’s something you look back on and remember.”
Right after we won the game we got to go to the senior football game right after our game they lost but they tried there hardest to win cause they were working hard and they got a lot of
