Moving to Kansas was a big change in my life. At the end of the school year of 2011, four weeks before the last day of school we went on the eight hour road trip to Newton, Kansas. It was exciting. Getting a new place to live, a new home. Change is good, well mostly good. In Colorado we had a nice old house with a big backyard, and a huge hill to go sledding on in the winter. Life was good. Our school was a Charter school which I didn’t like because we had to wear uniforms. Our school was just down the hill and it took less than five minutes to get there because of traffic, there was a intersection right at the bottom of the hill. Which is just about the worst place to put an intersection. I wasn’t in the same class as my best friend which …show more content…
When I was seven or eight I believe I received my first Nintendo DS for Christmas. I loved that thing the only game I had was Mario though. That’s why I have the feels for the Mario franchise. But my addiction became even worse when I got my first Pokemon game, HeartGold. I had never seen a game where it was basically a free roam world where you can do anything you want. You can follow the storyline but you don’t have to right away. This was the thing that gripped me when I first started playing Pokemon HeartGold. I could do whatever I wanted catch which ones I wanted to, and defeat any others that got in my way of fun. When we got into the new house all I did was go over to my cousin’s house because I thought he was cool. We would play some video games maybe play Pokemon, it was a good time. Then in December I got my own Xbox, that’s right my own Xbox 360. Which also came along with Black Ops and Minecraft! These games were the games that I have been longing for, as soon as I got them I got the Xbox set up putting the assortment of different wires into the corresponding areas. When I played online I would have to use my Kinect to speak. Wearing earbuds would help the echo that my Kinect would pick
I had no idea about what I was going to find in Little Rock. First of all, I have been enjoying my groups company, I feel that we’re more close and united after that trip. Therefore, I liked a lot traveling there with them and I also adored the highway. It’s wonderful to admire nature while you are on the road, it reminded me some speedways in Mexico. For me, one of the most interesting places there was High Central.
My favorite part of the move was knowing that I was going to have a new home and new goals. Although during the event there were sad moments when I would think of the friends that I left behind. Many people can relate to this type of experience because we lose friends, have new starts, new schools. During the trip to Arizona my mom
Locations. My whole life has been a series of locations. My first 5 years were spent in Korea, the next 6 years in Pittsburgh, and then 5 years in Chicago. 3 major different locations in 16 years. Last year, second semester of my all-important junior year, I moved to Texas.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6. Adjusting to new things aren't always easy, especially moving from New Jersey to Louisiana. As an adolescent I was fortunate with a mother who taught me to love and accept others despite their differences.
Me and my boys are finally leaving independence to alcove springs which is 166 miles away and will take us about 6 days. My luck is that the train in front of ours were a bunch of city people couldn't handle their animals so we had to sit there for about an hour then we finally went on our way then we noticed a problem there was too much weight so I looked inside the wagon and there was a big dresser in there with nothing in it so we had no choice to throw it out the dresser didn't really mean much but it was expensive
I was extremely uneasy about moving to somewhere new but I threw my bags into the trunk and closed it very softly and ran my hand across the back of the car. As I opened the back door I glanced back at the old house one last time before stepping into the back of the car. My brother very quickly got in the other side of the car and very excitedly yelled “come on! Let’s go!”
Kansas was a dull and dreary place. The farm I lived on was a dusty and flat piece of land. I could see the land touch the sky in all directions. There wasn’t one tree on the property. The sun could become extremely hot at times especially with my fur coat.
The hardest part was organizing everything for the move. I needed an apartment and a job in one of the most expensive places to live in the world. Fortunately, I was not alone and I was able to make the move without going broke. I met great friends in college from all over the country whom I knew would stay in my life. These friends were not from the West Coast and shortly after graduation left the state.
It was July 12, 2012 when my parents told me, "We are moving to Tennessee because we are going to buy a business. " I was very mad because I had to leave my relatives and friends. However, It was also an opportunity to start over and experience new things. When we arrived, we stopped by my cousin 's house. I stayed there until we found a place to stay close to the business.
I couldn’t be happier about moving to Oregon. I hate this smelly place we called home. Hi, I’m Billy and I’m 11 years old. I was born in Lawrence, Kansas, 1853.
In the summer of 2012, was when I was leaving for Virginia. A lot had happened in the previous months before this moment. Things such as my mom getting a new car, getting a new dog, my mom having a heart attack, and so on. Over everything that was happening, the biggest thing was moving across country from Arizona. Although, the hardest part for me was leaving my dad behind.
This last summer, I went up to visit my grandparents in Kansas to help them on their ranch. For the past four summers I have done this same thing, but this last year was much different. About a week into my trip my grandfather had an accident, he was bucked off a horse in the cattle pens and was seriously hurt. After taking him to the nearest hospital my grandmother and I ended up finding out that he had broken his pelvis along with six ribs. This meant I was going to have to grow up and take on much more responsibility than I was used to and run the day to day operations almost all myself.
I was a baby when my parents brought me over from Chicago to Denver. Making Colorado my home. When I was younger and we would have family members from out of town come visit and the first place my dad would want to take them was somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. I hated it! It was always in the blazing heat and we would have to walk for miles to get to a sight.
As a kid, I was probably addicted to video games. This is pretty normal considering how many boys love video games as well. I took the addiction to another level with one game, Pokemon. Starting at the age of five, I was introduced to the world of Pokemon thanks to my brothers.
Firstly, moving and going to a new school built up my courage to do new things like nothing else could. Another way it changed my life was that it taught me to accept and embrace change. Moving also changed my life by introducing me to new people that I'm still friends with to this day. Finally this experience taught me that not all change is bad and that change can even be
