Personal Narrative: How Soccer Changed My Life

Soccer, or football as it's known in many parts of the world, has a unique way of bringing people together. It's a sport that transcends borders, languages, and cultures. For me, soccer has been an integral part of my life, and there's one moment that changed everything. This moment wasn't just about winning a game or scoring a goal. It was about discovering my passion for soccer, overcoming setbacks, and achieving success on and off the field.

Finally, it’s extremely easy to access. My first reason why soccer is the best sport in the world is because it improves your communication and social skills. Soccer is played with 11 teammates. You have to be able to talk and communicate with each of them to make a pass or goal happen

When I first thought about how soccer impacted my life, nothing really came to mind. I was that kid who mostly looked forward to the end of the game snacks and bringing around the goal jar. But when I actually began thinking about more about playing soccer I realized that soccer was the first place where I was fully submerged into something completely new. I learned how to make friends, how be a leader, and how to have good sportsmanship. These are all things that have made me into the person I am today and it all began on the soccer field.

I have been playing soccer since before I could even walk. In fact, I joined my first soccer team at the age of five. Soccer is something I have always loved and been passionate about. When I was on the co-ed recreation league teams I was one of the only girls on my team, so I had to compete with boys who doubted me and thought I was weak. I worked hard during practice and out of practice to become better and, eventually, I became more aggressive than them.

People run very much, and it can keep people active. When people train, they are able to work very hard on the field. When staying active people can run down the line, and score a goal. Overall, soccer is the best sport to play because people stay active.

Soccer is a very strategic game and you have to mentally think about each move or play that is being presented because just kicking the ball around isn't an effective method and most times won't result in a Victory. While football does present many plays you must memorize some player have arm bands with the plays one then soccer players don't have this benefit. I'm not saying that football is a easy sport even though players are dressed in full protective gear they can take some nasty hits and easily get up like nothing happened, Some say soccer player are weak because they fall if there ever so slightly touched in their defence those players are trained to do that with hopes of a penalty or free kick which will let them regain position or for a chance at goal. Over all soccer is a much more mentally and physically exhausting sport i'm not saying football isn't any of these football is a tough sport as well but soccer definitely gives and presents much harder of a challenge for people entering the sport a person just entering the soccer realm will realize that soccer may be one of the least easy sports to join most good soccer player have played since they were little and it definitely pays off.

Soccer had become my go to when I wasn’t feeling good. That’s when my passion for soccer had gotten way stronger. It was all I wanted to do, all I wanted to watch, all I thought about. School had gotten easier, as well as my social life. I found my best friends due to soccer.

Soccer isn’t just knowing how to pass the ball, it's the fluidity of how well one team can work together, what key components make a team mesh mell, why the teams would strive for perfection, how hard one will be willing to work to put forth their best effort for the entirety of the team, and what will they be willing to sacrifice. It's what separates the talented players from the great players. Passion and drive are important because without it, you can’t ever hope to achieve something you have no desire for. The passion to continue my work, to continue my pursuit in a career of criminology, to strive to be the best I can do all stem from the work ethic that I developed through the teachings of soccer. When I started playing soccer 5 years ago I was not so confident, but playing matches boosted my self-confidence . One of the most important thing that I learnt from playing soccer is that I have to trust myself and that hard work pays off. Soccer has changed my life positively because it helped me become a better person. To sum up, Soccer empowers relationships between Nations all over the world and help build more peaceful relationships between them.

During my eleventh grade year of high school, I played soccer. First off, before you can play soccer you have to learn the language of the sport so you will understand how to play, what the coach is saying, and where you are supposed to be on the field. Before I started playing soccer, I thought it was just kicking a black and white ball into a goal. I quickly realized that you have an entire athletic language to learn in order to play soccer.

One of my best days was when my soccer team won the championship. I won several other championships ,but with other teams. This was my first season playing with this team. Football had a major impact on my life, playing football helped me to communicate with others creating an brotherly bond with my fellow teammates.
