One warm Friday afternoon two summers ago, I was invited to go on a trip to Carowinds. I always wanted to go, so this was the perfect opportunity for me. To experience something, I have wanted since I was a little girl.
I remember sitting on the sofa at my boyfriend’s house in their den watching tv and his mother came in talking to us about how she wants to plan a little trip to Carowinds. To get away for the weekend and have a good time and relax. She said, “Would you like to go with us to Carowinds Barbaree?” I said yes of course! “Make sure you take off from work.” She told me to start saving my money and we will go two weekends from now. We went June 22nd on a hot Saturday morning, around 10:00. My boyfriend Shawn came and got me from my house so we could all ride together.
Shawn’s dad drove the whole way down to Charlotte, it was me, my boyfriend Shawn, his sister, and her friend that came as well. It

We got on four more rides before we got hungry, so we met up with my boyfriend’s parents, sister and her friend to figure out what we desired to go eat at. We decided to take nourishment at Harmony Hall marketplace. The food was satisfying, I think we all got the chicken
strip basket but my boyfriend’s sister got a chef salad and mixed fruit instead. We all wanted to ride one more ride. So, me, my boyfriend Shawn, his sister and her friend wanted to ride the rip roarin rapids. Unfortunately, the line was too long so we just proceeded to go to Starbucks and got a vanilla bean Frappuccino and left.
We did not get back to Winston until real late, that night. This was a day I will never forget. I had so much fun with all of them. Memories that will last forever and I truly did have the time of my life. I may not have done this with both of my parents, like how I would have hoped for when I was younger but going with his family made me for fill that
Grace and I were breathing in her sweater and rolled all the windows down and the top roof window. Anyway…. We got the gas, life vest, the cooler, and most important thing of all the ………... FOOD. When we got everything from the car to take to the boat there was a surprise for us.
The Beginning….It was an early chilly morning in November of 2009. My dad, his friends, another kid, and me all loaded up in one truck ready to head east. I was only seven years old. We were going to Missouri to hunt whitetail. This was going to be the farthest away from home I have ever been.
I. P.S. She ended up coming. My mom and dad started discussing what we should do. “Well should we go to Hershey
After all of that we went straight to bed. Next morning my mom decided to go out to eat because we were all tired and hungry. We went to this breakfast restaurant that I forgot the name of which was really good. I obviously had the coffee, and the omelette. After the delicious salty breakfast we went out to the downtown part of ludington.
It was just him and me and we hiked from my house to Friendly’s Family Restaurant in Smithtown and back. When at Friendly’s of course we had to refuel for our journey back. So fries and a Fribble it was. Mummm! Nothing like a gallon of heifer lactated vanilla milk shake and fat drenched fries for chubby kid energy.
The week I spent in Estes Park, Colorado, brought me closer to seven people who I never even dreamt of being good friends with. Naturally, the best part of any vacation is the road trip. Mariah Machart, Jackie Thompson, and I left Culbertson and comfortably rode in Mariah’s dark blue Chevy Silverado. Our next
The first time I went to Mackinac Island was a truly unforgettable experience. Lots of people have always told me “We can’t go, we can’t fit the wheelchair on the boat.” But during last summer in August we decided to go Mackinaw City instead. I was super excited for it, I don’t why I had been to the city parts a thousand times over. That and I was sick as a dog with an unexplainable cold but that didn’t stop mom from saying “okay we’re going.”
“Ma 'am, I 'm gonna try my hardest ta keep myself straight. I might’ve fell off the wagon, but I’s got back up, didn 't I?” “Yes, sir, you sure did! “ “And, I’s a keep pickin’ myself up as long as I has y’all ta lean on…” “I talked with Henry last night and we have decided to move up to Cherokee County.
“Brrrring!” rang the alarm. I woke up, turned the alarm off, and buried myself under the covers. They were as soft as a kitten’s fur, and as warm as the air from a heater. After a long hug from my blanket, I finally got hot and went to use the bathroom.
Especially, my dad who had been driving the whole time. So we pulled off of I-75 onto an exit and went to a gas station. It was like a restaurant and gas station mixed. It was really big and everyone was allowed to grab one snack and a drink. I went with the usual teriyaki beef jerky and strawberry gatorade.
Also,we went to the restroom, bought some food passes got and some maps. Then it was the fun part, so I thought. What we didn’t realize is that the line for the Top Thrill Dragster was 2 ½ hours! Therefor, my mom left the line at about two hours into it. But my dad, sister and I fought through the burning sun and heat.
My favorite thing was going on ALL of the rides. Finally we made it back to the condo and went to bed to get ready for tomorrow's next
I woke up one day and I was shaking. I was shaking because today I got up in front of the crowd to get my diploma. My 8th grade graduation was today! I could not walk, or speak. Stuff went through my head, “Am I going to have to speak in public?
My Trip to Florida It was a cold winter night in Upstate New York. My mom and dad were enjoying a cup of coffee, my sisters were playing video games, and I was editing a few pictures on my computer. My mom brought up the idea of a vacation. She said” We haven’t been on a vacation for a long time”.
When the ride started I had enormous, nervous smile on my face and a shaking Chihuahua bodie. As there my siaster and baby siter where the all fine. The ride started out not to bad, but when we made the first turn, all I
