“Some people succeed because they are destined, but most because they are determined.” This quote was written by an unknown author, and it is one of many that I live by. If I had a single word that best fits myself, it would be determination. I am always advancing myself in one way or another with a purpose to whatever I set my mind to. I am so privileged to say that one of those activities is fitness. Fitness has been apart of my life for as long as I remember, with a large range of various activities. When I was only two years old, my mom signed me up for gymnastics at the gym named Salto. Little did I know during the terrible two’s age, that this sport would become my passion in life. Salto Gymnastics was my second home for ten years. The countless hours in the gym made it unbearable for it not to be my home. This sport is extremely challenging not only physically, yet mentally as well. Adding to that, the endless hours spent in the gym per week taught me how to be disciplined and determined in varied aspects of life. Once middle school came around, my gymnastics phase transitioned to dancing artistically through school and club programs. These dancing facilities were now my new second home. Excluding the obvious such as, weight loss and muscle toning, I am going to talk about the other physical and mental benefits that fitness brings to my world. First off, I am always feeling my best self when I continue to consistently workout. The sense of relieve that is lifted off my shoulders after a tough workout is one of the many reasons why I do what I do. It is a feeling of accomplishment that I just conquered one of the most laborious workouts of all time, it makes me feel like I can do anything.
