Lockout Policy: This is the policy created by Windows to prevent the hackers from hacking the computer system. Lockout policy is one of the setting which locks out the computer after multiple attempts to hack the computer. This setting can be enabled on selecting Local Security Policy and then selecting Account Lockout Policy. Lockout Threshold Policy: This is a setting present to lockout the computer after certain invalid attempts to enter the correct password. This protects from unauthorized users. The value can be set from a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 999 tries. Account Lockout Duration: This is a setting where the authorized user can opt resulting in the lock down of the system for a particular amount of time where unauthorized users cannot operate any function of the system.
