When asked what a network is, I usually think about the internet or my phone’s network. It had never occurred to me to go further in depth on the subject. In order to fully understand what a network is we must look into what all networks have in common. All networks whether they are a broadcast, a computer, or a business network (the list goes on) all share common traits. There exists a hierarchy within each network and the more connections one has, the better. For example, within a business network the more connections one has, the higher the position they can gain. All networks are self-motivated, transfers knowledge, contains subnetworks, have a set of protocols, rules, can have bad connections and they all have a connection in a common …show more content…
In order to answer the question above we have to know what knowledge is in this context. Knowledge is a description of reality based on all pertinent facts that we know of. In the previous paragraph I already clarified on what a network is and this is important because I will use the metaphor of a network. In this case, we will use a network to represent an area of knowledge and the nodes, the connections, to represent the ways of knowing that we use in order to attain knowledge. The networks help us to process information and what is going on around us in order to gain knowledge. Each network may have a different shape depending on how big it is, how much it expands, and in what direction it is moving in. This is defined as its structure. In order to understand all of this information I will have to look at two areas of knowledge, one of which is mathematics. Mathematics, in comparison to other areas of knowledge, is quite a selective network. It is very limited to what ways of knowing …show more content…
While both networks are similar in that respect, Art’s central node is emotion and all knowledge that is gained stems from this way of knowing. Another way of knowing that is important to Art is imagination. For example, when someone looks at a piece of art emotion is central to how they interpret and respond to that piece of art. Once they have that initial response they use their imagination to come up with a plausible meaning to that art, based off of the emotion that they felt towards the piece. While this is the case in the observer of the art it is a different story for the artist. When they go to create their art they have a set emotion in mind and they work to integrate it into their piece. Imagination is used in their creative process. Through using their imagination, they are able to get the emotion that they desire into the art and the reaction that they desire from the audience. To fully understand how an art network works it can help to relate it to an artist. For example, Vincent van Gogh was an artist who strived to imbue all of his art pieces with emotion. With the emotion in mind that he wanted to convey, he used his imagination to come up with a style that would serve his purpose. His style was different from others before him because he chose a differing color palette and it was quite bold. His choice of colors differed with his
I began collecting data by contacting the IT technician of Bru-Hims. It was quite difficult to get a response because the IT technician is being deployed out of the office to each health facility on a daily basis. I have gathered a list of questions specifically for the IT technician. Beforehand, I wrote down the questions on a piece of paper before implementing it into Microsoft word. I organised a meeting with them until they finally agreed.

Reading this question, I experienced a high level of mathematics anxiety, I realised I could solve this question however I hesitated. I was contemplating ‘how I was going to communicate and explain my thinking?’ Initially to solve this question I utilised ‘the order of operations’, this is a knowledge I previously developed and indicates ‘multiplication and division are always completed before addition and subtraction’ in mathematics. I referred to a text book to extend my understanding, and according to Van de Walle (2010), ‘the power of two’ is an exponent which in this question is merely a shorthand interpretation for repeated multiplication of a number, times by itself.
I clicked “New” and began. Immediately, a blank page appeared and was ready for me type in. I started working on a project for my C++ programming class. The instructions of the project seemed simple; I had to create an interface for a vending machine. To some people, this sounds difficult, but to me, its a problem waiting to be solved.
3. Research Question and Objectives Our main objective is to design a web-based visual interactive software that can provide us a graphical interface for computer programming. Where basic general purpose programming facilities will be available like creation of modules, arrays and object orientation. Where we can achieve multitasking using threads and exception handling to catch exceptions.
Over the course of the past two semesters I have been studying under Paul Johnston in an effort to better my skills as a recording engineer, mixing engineer and producer. From the beginning, I didn’t have a clear outcome for what I had hoped to accomplish by the end of the course. This was the source of some problems for me because there were some moments where I felt like I was flying blind. Starting down a path with no clear end is difficult after all. I didn’t have a set goal for myself other than learning all I could from Paul, which is a broad goal.
When looking at two pieces of art it’s easy to just assume there are no similarities. However if you truly take in the whole art pieces you may find more similarities than you might think. For example, while looking at The Architect’s Dream, an oil painting created in 1840 by Thomas Cole and Starruca Viaduct, also an oil painting made by Jasper Franci Cropsey in 1865 you may not see any similarities. These paintings together almost represent the split world we live in; the division between man-made and nature. Both areas are beautiful in their own ways which is what Cole and Franci were able to depict.
He was able to show us just how remarkable this aspect is and the role it plays in our imagination. Color is not just blue, yellow, red, and green, but it is the change in mood, location and
It is hard to define art as it comes in many different shapes, sizes, and types. Essentially, it is the expression of creative skill and imagination that evolve into produced compositions that display beauty and emotion. Art is present in works such as literature, paintings, sculptures, poems and embodies many other forms. Although these creations are all different in genre and are possibly created centuries apart, their underlying messages often display overlap. In fact, this was the case for Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and the songs “Isolation” by Alter Bridge, “Obsession” by Animation, and “Poison Heart” by Ramones.
Actually, there is an art inside of almost every person and they want to reflect it with different ways. Sometimes pictures are a door which opens a new world and inspires people , sometimes songs are touching to hearts which cause thinking something and sometimes movies are a magic which change people’s life and
Therefore, the color can give audiences totally different feeling when the director use different type of color in different moments because the colors can present characters’ emotions even the characters do not need any
The colors show his depression and agony and reveal how truly broken down the subject
Art can have many messages and display a multitude of hidden innuendos that only observer may be able to understand or comprehend. This is what makes art so prevalent to culture and a society seeing how it can have such a broad array of meanings. Personally, when I examine a form of art it needs to display three things; emotion, a message, and relevance to the emotion and message. Emotional components of art help strengthen the meaning of what the piece is trying to convey and allows others to relate naturally based on their own understanding. Also, the message that the form of art is attempting to portray should also relate to the emotions being conveyed.
One thing they also did, was in each one they made one color pop out, each color like a mood that changes the meaning
