Abdalla, while seen walking in the video, is holding an umbrella, which is tilted to her right, towards oncoming, eastbound traffic, which could have obstructed her view of Vehicle 1 traveling eastbound on Fletcher Avenue. Abdalla crossed the path of and was struck by Vehicle 1. Debra McKee was operating Vehicle 1, a 2008 Pontiac G6, eastbound on Fletcher Avenue, with a green traffic signal for eastbound traffic, at a speed of approximately 28.57 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour posted speed zone. McKee 's view of the roadway was obscured by a very heavy rain. McKee was travelling below the posted speed limit, but may have been traveling faster than her wipers could sufficiently clear the water from her windshield. McKee failed to see Pedestrian 1 crossing Fletcher Avenue in enough time to take evasive action. The investigation of this crash has been completed and I request this case be inactivated.

One afternoon an automobilist was driving his powered four-wheeled vehicle (automobile) in heavy, slow moving traffic down Highway 99 in California. Suddenly, this automobile driver noticed a man riding a powered two-wheeled vehicle (motorcycle) carefully move into the automobilist’s lane sharing lane space between the automobilist and that of another automobile in an adjacent lane. The automobile driver watched as the motorcyclist continued to cautiously drive at a speed only slightly above the general flow of traffic all the while sharing lane space with other vehicles. Shortly thereafter, this same automobilist exited Highway 99, subsequently stopped at a stop light, and encountered a similar experience to what he had just observed.

Sometimes it’s hard to avoid some crashes so if you are ever involved in any accident you should always follow these five steps. When involved in an accident you must first STOP.
