The Canadian Shield is arguably the best land form region. One of the differences is their natural resources. Canada’s natural resources are limited due to its subarctic climate. Canada’s natural resources are wood, fish, and minerals. The United States’ natural resources are cotton, coal, iron, and natural gas. Their natural resources are very different.

First off the weather is so cold there that they have igloos as houses. That means that they can use their surrounding ice and snow to build a home that can stay there even through the summer. The Inuit can also build houses out of wood but it is very rare to see in a village because there are not a lot of trees in the arctic for them to cut down and build as houses, plus it takes more effort and work when they could just have an igloo and get other more important things done. Next thing that is different between the other two tribes is that the Inuit think that they are the most important barometer in the world because what happens in the world, like global changes, always happen there first. Therefore we can figure out what’s gonna happen to us in the next few years from the information based off of the arctic.

The best landform region in Canada is the Great Lakes-Saint Lawrence Lowlands because of its fertile land, wide range of vegetation and mild temperature. The region has one of the best farming lands in the country. This is because the GLSLL is the youngest landform region in Canada and the soil is much softer and there are multiple water bodies around the area to provide enough water to sustain good soil. This creates job opportunities and fresh local food for Canadians in the area. The Great Lakes-Saint Lawrence Lowlands has the widest variety of vegetation than any other region in Canada.

One thing on our map is the St. Lawrence Seaway. The St. Lawrence Seaway is a river that connects from the Great Lakes through Canada and Quebec, and then flows into the Atlantic Ocean. This body of water is very important to Quebec and Canada. Without it trade would be much more difficult because many things that are traded to Canada come into Canada on ship, and it is made much easier to get to Canada on boat through the St. Lawrence Seaway. The St. Lawrence Seaway flows from the Atlantic Ocean then travels on the border of Quebec and ends near the bottom of Quebec.

Those who don’t live or have ever been may think that Canada is a country that is not diverse maybe even monocultural, that Canada is flat full of only farmland and rural towns, that we live lives fueled by hockey and that is all that Canada is. In reality every Canadian knows it is much more it is diverse, scenic and urban. In the essay “My Canada” by Anita Rau Badami she said this about Canada “the country had been doing a slow dance for me over the nine years that I had lived here, showing me tantalizing little bits of itself every now and then.” The quote by Badami says that Canada has little charms spread throughout the country, such as the vastness and natural beauty of Lake Louise and all National Parks. Festivals in Edmonton which displays Canadian culture and a variety of other cultures from around the earth.

As the years progressed and the ages evolved, the demand for minerals and ores increased. The high demand resulted in a faster process and worse environmental conditions, when mining. These mining strategies posed a threat towards Canada’s environment and created a challenge the country had to face. Imagine if the entire world had no borders or boundaries, how would the world function? In the time frame of 1700-1850 the stability was very low and the events that occurred were the War of Spanish Succession, the Seven Years war and the Act of Union/Responsible Government. The countries then switched from New France to East/West Canada. Many Treaties from different countries were made, multiple wars started and ended and immigration started with many people in different countries. Then once the stability got better the wars lessened and the immigration which means a person going from one country to a totally different country that might change their lifestyle ended as well.

Geographical Comparison of China and Canada Canada and China share many similarities and differences when it comes to their land features. They both have vastly different geographical and water features. Canada is a country with a vast and diverse landscape, while China is known for its diverse geography of deserts, mountains, and plateaus.
