My Worst Job When I was sixteen, one of my middle school friends named Jessica was a shift leader at dunkin she wanted me to work with her for the summer to have some extra money. It seemed like a lot of fun for the first week or so, but it turned out to be the worst job of my life. My job was the front cash register. This was fun I actually enjoyed it and I learned quite a bit of skills from this. I asked tons of questions about why I was making this particular ingredient, what people were doing when they restocked and so on. But eventually, the awful management, the unfriendly co-workers, and the rude customers made working at Dunkin my worst job. One of the reasons Dunkin was my worst job was because of the awful management her name was …show more content…
On my first day at the job I introduced myself to all the girls that I was working with during that shift. Every mid afternoon there was two girls at the register, one at the food station, and three girls on the drive thru. Although everyone has their own station the point of it is for the workers to work together. Thats how proper establishments work. The workers work together to satisfy the customer and get them out as quickly as possible but none of the drive thru girls would ever except my help. Sometimes I would wear the head set to listen to the others girls, so I would know what to say when it came my time to do the drive thru. I use to try to get the donuts or bring the bagels to the food station girl for the drive thru but she never accepted it. Her name was Nicole and every time I tried to help she made it seem liked I messed it up. Even a simple task she would make up the craziest things for an example someone ordeR a strawberry frosted donut and I went and got the sheet of plastic wrap and picked up the donut, put it in the bag and rushed over to Nicole thinking I was helping. She gave me a disgusted look and said that this lady is a regular and she doesn't like her donuts touched by the wax paper, that your supposed to put on a new set of gloves to pick up her donut. Im pretty sure it was just lie. Nicole made every shift working with her
Chick-fil-a was the only job I could find when the time came for me to work to fund the majority of my college expenses. I wasn’t exactly thrilled to be working at a fast food establishment but the positive and cheerful environment that was fostered there made it fun. The customers always welcomed it and reciprocated it with equal enthusiasm. I saw the positive results of a customer-centered business. This model could be applied in my future career in medicine to ensure that patients feel heard and appreciated while employees feel happy to go to work.
Working at Publix Deli can be one of the most stressful but rewarding jobs one can ever have. To start off its rude customer central. I pulled out about two dollars worth of change and dropped them into her bucket,
I am always dealing with people whether at the store or on the farm. Psyck's Super Market has allowed me to overcome my fears of talking and helping customers out. When I first started working the cash register, I was extremely shy, nervous, and afraid of screwing up. I used to hate helping customers, but now that I am older, it does not bother me. Watching my father work with customers had also helped.
Obviously, I know the “stranger danger rule” so I politely decline but the person gets more persistent. However, during this whole time the person in the churro stand is not saying words to me. Finally, the person has to pull me over behind the curtains. My heart dropped and I was about to scream when they took their costume off.
In the beginning, I started working when I was 17 years old. I worked at a retail store in Bloomfield, New Jersey after school and on the weekend. I began working at an early age because I want to stand on my own feet and I do not want to rely on my family.
Acquiring a job, whether it be in a doctor’s office or a fast-food restaurant, can transform a person. Jobs tend to educate employees, either indirectly or directly, both about themselves and life in general. In Climbing the Golden Arches, nineteen year-old Marissa Nuñez discusses how her employment at McDonald’s transformed her into a mature and skilled employee. Within her personal narrative, Nuñez mentioned how she faced both pleasant and unpleasant circumstances while working at McDonald’s, all which prepared her for her future career. At McDonald’s, Nuñez learned how to fulfill her role of being an employee by becoming an expert at all the placed stations, dealing with the various types of customers she encountered on a daily basis, and

”Open up register 2!” My manager always found a way to ruin my day. Winn Dixie was the first place I worked. I began working their when I was 16. I started working there on June.
Tell us about your sorority experience. I have had a fantastic sorority experience. I went through recruitment and joined a sorority with a completely open mind because I am the first in my family to participate in greek life, so I really didn’t know what all to expect. I am confident when I saw say, joining a sorority was the best decision of my life. I have had the opportunity to make amazing friends in and out of my sorority, meet impressive alumni at our international conference, and learn about and actively advocate for our wonderful philanthropy.
When is the last time you let someone with fewer groceries than you cut in line? A simple act of kindness goes a long way. Generally, we do not even pay attention to the person standing behind us in line. For my breaching experiment, I decided to go test out this social norm at my local grocery store.
A time I have failed was when I was in middle school and I wanted to join the volleyball team. I went to volleyball tryouts and showed them my best at the time. I ended up not making it on the team. It made me really sad and made me feel discouraged from trying things.
So at that point I was very confused as to how I managed to offend this lady. Her friend behind the counter was laughing at her, but the lady checking me out was not at all amused. So instinctively I began to apologize ,and I told her that I did not mean to offend her in any way. “ I was just trying to be respectful”, I reassured her. Unfortunately nothing I said seemed to help the situation.
Overworked. That’s the closest word that I could use to describe this week. I feel like this journal is going to be about me just bickering, yet there is some stuff you might want to read about. First of all, I have been sleeping three hours this week because of upcoming midterms, quizzes, and assignments due. I am sleep deprived and mentally drained and as my second year in college I have never had my life drained out of my body like a passing shadow.
A sense of accomplishment is invaluable to a person. Not only does a sense of accomplishment build confidence and faith in oneself, but it also allows one to reflect on how wonderful the journey to the accomplishment was, and how every little struggle and triumph was worth it. In the middle of summer, where time seems endless and the stress of the previous school year has been shed by students, I never expected to find out that I scored a five on both of the advanced placement exams I took. Nor did I have one-hundred percent confidence the goals we set as section leaders of the marching band would actually be met. Yet to my surprise, I had the good fortune of accomplishing challenging things in both aspects of my life.
