My Movie Argument
What do you think? What would you argue? What theme do you think the movie is? Some people believe the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas is more of a Halloween and some people believe that this movie is more Christmas themed. In my opinion I believe that The Nightmare Before Christmas is more a Halloween movie. This statement proves to show that in this movie more characters shown/introduced are monsters that live in Halloween Town such as Werewolves, Vampires, Skeletons. What about when the director of this film specifically had the movie come out in October. In the end of this movie the main character Jack Skelington decided he was the pumpkin king and was happy for his holiday, Pumpkins are apart of Halloween.
The things people did earlier in time on Halloween is to have a festival to say that summer's over. The other thing is that the doors open to let souls into our world. There are so many beliefs of the history of halloween like for dead souls to get revenge on their enemies before they move on to the next world. Before the pumpkin people used radishes. They carved the radishes like we carve pumpkins.
Has anyone you know or a friend of yours ever gotten kind of greedy around the holidays so much that you became frustrated or disappointed? Greed can be a pretty annoying thing. It can change your perspective quicker than you will realize. Sometimes it can even cloud judgment or often make you think you are better than other people. The movie and drama of Charles Dickens “A Christmas Story,” are very similar.
My overall thoughts on this movie were I found the death scenes to be brutal, fun, and one of a kind definetly more then intense then the original. At the same time a little more comedic, which took away most elements of fear for me. I was totally digging the death scenes, with how clever each one was. Most parts I had my eyes covered, which is another thing that gets me into a good horror film. Black Christmas had intese scenes of stalking as well giving it fresh unbelieveable views that somebody is watching under a bathroom tile.
Be careful of what you wish for, thought Coraline when the Other Mother asked to stay forever in the fantastic Other World, but there was only one condition—to sew buttons over her own eyes. The creator of the movie The Nightmare before Christmas and James the Giant Peach, has come back with a new installment: this thrilling and exciting stop motion movie Coraline. The first scene shows a doll being torn apart bit by piece. Sewn back together by creepy metallic hand, the new doll is revealed to be a young girl named Coraline.

The movie and play of the Christmas story have a lot of differences and similarities in the conflict, climax, and resolution. In the play a lot of thing happen and set the course for the video. In the play Scrooge thinks Christmas is a great big humbug and it is very apparent. Scrooge is visited by the ghost of Jacob Marley his dead business
You’re 16 years old and you wake up in a metal box remembering nothing but your name, what do you do? While most of us would shrivel up and cry Thomas, the centerpiece of the novel The Maze Runner written by James Dashner, gets up and fights to find a way out until doors open above him and sunlight blinds him. He then enters a farm-like area called The Glade and a responsibility he isn 't aware of yet hanging is hanging in the balance. When one thinks “world saver” they dont see this weight being put onto, not only a child, but a child who doesn 't remember how, where, why, or when he is.
That is how I look at Halloween. Unfortunately here in Latvia they are not into this holiday and only children at school dress up but afterwards don’t go trick or treating and young adults enjoy going a bit crazy in the pubs in Riga. In the U.S. it is common to see carved pumpkins most everywhere and in some other parts of the world as well. There are also gourd-like orange fruits that get carved with ghoulish face and illuminated by candles.

Because people have already watched plenty of Christmas movies since they were little, producers must have some surprise or new ideas in Christmas movies to keep attracting customers to buy tickets for movies or DVDs
Characterization/ Symbolism/ Innocence “I'll just tell you about this madman stuff that happened to me around last Christmas just before I got pretty run-down and had to come out here and take it easy. I mean that's all I told D.B. about, and he's my brother and all” Chapter 1, Page 1 Holden uses a nonchalant and informal voice when talking to the reader, indicating he is not a very uptight or serious person. His recantation of events around Christmas time symbolize a possible loss of innocence as the entire holiday is based on the myth of a man clothed in all red, breaking into your house to give you presents, and upto a certain age, most children believe that to be the truth. Why are pumpkins a symbol of Halloween? Pumpkins are an important symbol of Halloween. This is because “they wanted to light the way to their homes for the good spirits, so they carved faces into vegetables…” According to Kate Kelly. It is also said that people put carve pumpkins on their door steps to ward off evil spirits.
When people are asked to name some of the classic Christmas movies, they are quick to say movies such as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (1964), Frosty the Snowman (1969), and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), but they forget to mention the dismal, chilling The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). But why is that, doesn’t Tim Burton still show the joy that Christmas brings, but in a slightly new perspective? Aren’t The Nightmare Before Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas quite similar depictions of how some may deal with the “Christmas blues”? The Nightmare Before Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas both originated as poems with rhythms similar to most Christmas poems. Tim Burton and Dr. Seuss both portray the cliché themes
Netflix has been evolving into a trend for many years, and the shows that it produces are outstanding. One particular T.V. show that has captivated audiences is Stranger Things. Set in an Indiana Town in the early 1980's, this science-fiction series truly is monumental. Finn Wolfhard plays the lead role of Mike, along with his friends Will, Dustin, and Lucas. The entire series is based off of these children, and some older influences, under covering the mystery of where Will Byers was taken.
