I explained the purpose of the interview and explained that she was not the subject of the interview. Schemer explained that on Friday, December 11, 2015 at approximately 0610 hours, she was in the mail room along with PSS Perry when Hale came in and immediately made a statement about the more people he killed today, the better it would feel. There was no discussion or conversation prior to Hale’s violent statements, he literally walked in and announced he wanted to kill people that day. She was placed under $21, 000 secured bond. So the hearing on March 7 was her second court hearing.

Landmark Supreme Court Case – Miranda v. Arizona As stated in the Fourteenth Amendment, “no state shall deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law” (School). Police officers work non-stop, around the clock to only detain, arrest, and covict criminals. The restrictions of abusing victims rights have been part of the United States since the Bill of Rights but this view changed in the 1960s. Due to the fact that crime was rising in the 1960s, public satefy was becoming more of a concern so officers needed a method to reduce crime in the public.
