It was late summer on August 23,1989 in Ohio, there is a girl named Michelle, but everyone calls her Shelly. Shelly is 19 years old and she has an older brother named Michael. Shelly works at a Mexican restaurant called Miguel's. She had just turned 19, her birthday was 3 days ago. Shelly was driving to Miguel’s in a 1979 ford mustang and she took a corner when all of a sudden everything went black.
All she remembers is waking up in a hospital bed and there was blood everywhere.
She got in a car accident…. She woke up in a hospital bed, she had no idea where she was and what happened. One of the nurses came in to check to see if she was awake yet and she told shelly that she got in a car crash. The nurse asked Shelly what her name is and she told her” Michelle”, the nurse asked her if she remembered anything that happened on August 23,1989. All that She could remember was pulling out of her driveway and heading to work, then everything went blank. After the nurse asked all of her questions she left.

The doctors finally got the part they needed at two thirty in the morning and started the surgery immediately. While shelly was in the waiting room her family never left the hospital. They were in the waiting room for almost two hours waiting to see if there little girl was even going to make it out of the surgery room. Her parents remember just waiting there feeling like they couldn’t do anything to help and it was the worst feeling in the world.
