Circumstance: Ms. Smalls (MHP), Mrs. Gailliard (MHS), Clarence and Ms. Elizabeth Strong (DSS Worker) schedule medical appointment with the MUSC Foster Care Clinic. Action: MHP called Tara Peevy, RN at the MUSC Foster Care Clinic after MHS explained leaving several messages. Ms. Strong explain emailing the referral form to the clinic. Machelle Green explain receieing the referral form, however unable to reach the DSS worker for additional infromaiton.

Attended by Since his 9/9/16 Behavior Clinic visit, Mom reported Ben attends BTC/Day program; walks and exercise daily; She’s counting calories, Ben is still working (picking up paper); still going on community outings with a behavioral residential aide (Addus Health), appetite good, sleeping well and having regular BMs; CSS received copies of Ben’s BATC 10/1/16- 12/30/16 behavior data which show targeted behaviors but no reports of major behavioral issues and 16 absences due to illness. He had 2 reportable incidents per Therap (10/10/16 Physical Aggression & 9/22/16 rectal digging). On10/12/16 he had a visit to American Family care for an ear infection, 10/5/16 had outpatient surgery regarding excessive wax in his ear, seen by his PCP on10/5/16,

INTRODUCTION: This case involved Gabriel Walton being a danger to himself and others. Walton was transported to Exodus Urgent Care, where he was placed on a WIC 5150 hold. INVESTIGATION: On 11-10-17 at approximately 1110 hours, LA County Clinician Vasquez #433353 and I was responded to the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Bonnie Avenue, regarding a mental health evaluation.

R.10 It was communicated to the sponsor the need to provide the minor with access to medical care. The sponsor was provided with a list of referrals of low cost medical providers and encouraged to identify a medical provider for the minor. Family: Dionisio is a 17 year old Hispanic male who resides in Clark, NJ with his mother, Sonnia Estremera. When CM first received Dionisio’s case Mrs. Estremera reported that youth has difficulties following household rules. She reports that Dionisio needs reminders to complete basic household chores such as throwing out thrash. It was evident that there was a breakdown in communication between Dionisio and his mother. Since Dionisio has been attending family therapy at Trinitas Child and Adolescent Outpatient Department there has been in improvement in youth and his mother relationship.

Elyn Saks is a very accomplished woman. She has managed to become a published author and an esteemed college professor while suffering from schizophrenia. Her book, The Center Cannot Hold discusses her life as she fought and eventually managed her mental illness. Saks lived a normal childhood with caring parents, but she does recall having several phobias and obsessions when she was younger that were not healthy or normal in their longevity. As Saks matured, her schizophrenic episodes worsened.

The lack of acceptance towards mental illnesses being considered actual illnesses has left many people with a fractured truth about mental illnesses as a whole. Although society is getting better at dealing with mental illnesses, there is still the perception that mental illnesses do not need to be treated because they are not visible wounds, which is completely untrue. n order to eliminate disparities in mental healthcare for Latinos, Researchers have to first document the scope of disparities, recognize factors and processes that cause Latinos mental health disparities in care. Then, mental health services and policies apply this data to develop and implement interventions aimed at eliminating the trends in care. In other words, by achieving this endeavor, policymakers and mental health services must be informed by research because research can provides best available evidences, documents specific trends in care, produce valuable information about the pathways that have the potential to reduce disparities, explains why and how the inequities occur, and how to deliver high quality mental health care

In the History of Mental Health: Dual Diagnosis article, it states the differences between the old asylum’s treatments to today asylum’s treatments towards mental people. One of the oldest asylum is Bethlehem, located in London, and inside those walls individuals with psychological disorders were chained, whipped, and allowed to lie in their own waste (Rathus 2016). In the History of Mental Health: Dual Diagnosis article, Dorothea Dix proved to the General Assembly of North Carolina that patients within the asylum are chained, abused, and even kept in an unclean area. She also hoped for asylums to upgrade and have better treatments in the future because those patients are humans as well. Also in the article, women were treated differently because

Samkisha has used alcohol, but not in the last three months and marijuana approximately 12 times in the last three months. She admitted to using marijuana about “every weekend.” She reported she used alcohol only once when she was in the 10th grade. Samkisha has never participated in treatment for alcohol or other drug use, but stated she would be willing to participate in such a program if ordered. Mental and Physical Health There are no indications of mental health problems in Samkisha 's case.

In this paper, an experiment was performed to evaluate a small portion of people in each grade level and measure the level of risk they have for becoming depressed. Showing the trends of the amount of depression symptoms shown and the different common answers that were listed when the students took the test. There is a trend between the grades and how many kids are at a higher risk of being depressed. This essay will also show the methods that were used to collect the information and the different tools/ways used to record all the information. There will also be tables and/or graphs used to represent the data that has been collected.

Thanks for the reply. I knew the LNA felt bad at first when the resident used the "N" word, and I talked and explained to her about the different factors involved with such behavior. The LNA was very understanding and forgiving because of the resident 's mental condition. It did not affect her performance at all. Yes, I agree that it could be the disease process that was responsible for such outbursts, or it could be their past experiences and that they are re-living it.

Mental health is an ongoing concern to many Canadians. One of the largest issues around mental health revolves around society’s pressures of being able to sustain a socially acceptable lifestyle. Which are all dependant on the individual’s career, the role that the individual plays in the community, how independent and stable an individual is. Although many Canadians are reluctant to admit to suffering from mental health-related issues, mental health is becoming an increasingly relevant issue. When it comes to mental, all aspects of an individual’s life are impacted, such as relationships with others, personal factors, and ability to work.
