Marketing surrounds the daily lives of the average person far more then what they would initially expect. Businesses across essentially every spectrum incorporate marketing into their business strategy to attract new customers and satisfy the needs and wants of their client base. Although many businesses use marketing as a tool, there are a plethora of careers that focus on the many aspects of marketing. An important aspect of this paper is to distinguish the difference between marketing as a tool, and as a specific career. There are many ways a business can enhance their customer loyalty and satisfaction through eCommerce. Three specific ways this can be achieved is through consistency, building trust, and adding value to the customer (Bedard, 2014). Consistency, for instance in pricing and quality of product, really help to build the trust of the customer. As a customer of Amazon, one expects competitive prices, a large selection of items, and a user-friendly checkout service. In turn, the customer will see value in both the product they purchase as well as their experience as a whole.
