The method of isolating metals in a compound mineral is normally conducted through two processes.

The first step is to place a drop of distilled water on a sterile swab and swab a small portion of the suspect substance, The place the swab against a presumptive blood test and an immediate color change should occur if the reaction is positive. If the stain is negative the suspected blood stain may be ignored. If the reaction is positive an evidence number is assigned to the suspected blood and the stain is photographed and measured. The forensic technician should note the stain was collected due to a positive reaction. The blood is then collected and packaged, and the package is sealed and labeled for identification Upon collecting blood if the blood is wet a sterile swab should be rotated in the stain, transferring the blood to the swab.

This reaction does not cause a rise in temperature. One other source is triboluminescence which is light produced from friction. Another source is electric discharge which is light produced when an electrical current passes through air or another, like neon, that produces a glow. Another source is light-emitting diode which is light produced when an electrical current passes through a semi-conductor which controls how well is conducts electricity.

In cycle one, the double displacement reaction, Cu(s) + 4HNO3(aq) → Cu(NO3)2(aq) + 2NO2(g) + 2H2O(l) occurred, the result of the reaction was that the reaction mixture began to bubble with the copper filling dissolving and a vapor like substance leaving the reaction. Furthermore, when water was added, the color change, from brown to a blue color pigment. Then in Cycle two, another double displacement reaction occurred, Cu(NO3)2(aq) + 2NaOH(aq) → Cu(OH)2(s) + 2NaNO3(aq), which resulted in the reaction becoming cloudy and a darker shade of blue. Following cycle two, a decomposition reaction occurred as the result of heat being administered to the mixture, thus the following reaction occurred in cycle three, Cu(OH)2(s) → CuO(s) + H2O(l). Tyler White CHEM151LL 32658 04/01/2018 Different Types Chemical Reaction Types and Equations Purpose: The purpose of this lab experiment is to examine different types of chemical reactions such as Decomposition reaction, Synthesis reactions, Combustion reactions, and different Chemical equations. The experiments were conducted online using Late Nite Labs. Materials: Because the experiments were conducted online there wasn’t any physical use of materials, only digital ones, for these labs to be performed. Only the registration for the website was needed to perform these online labs, as well as a desktop computer.

The chemiluminescence part of the experiment, we had to make four solutions labeled as ‘stock solution A, solution A, stock solution B, and solution B’. For the ‘stock solution A’ we put the luminol product, (0.242 g) in a 25 mL Erlenmeyer flask and dissolve it with 2 mL of 3M NaOH. Then we took 1 mL of the ‘stock solution A’ and diluted in 9 mL of water using a 50 mL beaker. Solution A. For the ‘stock solution B’ we mixed 4 mL of potassium ferricyanide solution and 4 mL of hydrogen peroxide solution using a 25 mL Erlenmeyer flask.

According to the article “Influence of Bluestar Reagent on Blood Spatter Stain of Different Fabrics” by Arnon Grafit, bluestar is a “luminol-based reagent that is applied by spraying on surface.” Not only that, but “it helps obtain DNA and to analyze spatters patterns. By analyzing the article the reader is able to understand how bluestar works through the rhetorical techniques used.

There are different ways that prints can be developed in crime labs; by the use of traditional powders, fluorescent powders, chemicals, and superglue. They can be viewed under laser and UV lighting. Copper Cycle Lab Report Ameerah Alajmi Abstract: A specific amount of Copper will undergo several chemical reactions and then recovered as a solid copper. A and percent recovery will be calculated and sources of loss or gain will be determined. The percent recovery for this experiment was 20.46%.

During this week, we performed the Meiosis pipe cleaner project and completed worksheets pertaining to meiosis. Afterwards, we took notes on karyotyping and finished worksheets for it. Regarding the meiosis pipe cleaner project, it is similar to the mitosis project since the chromosomes have a specific color key to them. However, in the meiosis project, we incorporated alleles in the chromosomes, by representing them with tightly loop pipe cleaners around the legs.

They also use scientific protocols to ensure the quality and reliability of tests and equipment. You must do your work as efficiently as you can but still get results that are accurate.
