In the movie Life of Pi and Hamlet they both related to the theme, Appearance vs reality. Some people didn’t turn out as they say they are and some people acted different than they usually would. In the movie Hamlet, His mother noticed his strange appearance in act 1 scene one. Of how he has his attitude’s and strange behavior, he’s usually a gentleman this time he’s acting crazy and wanting to get somewhat revenge because his uncle killed his father. Also in the story, hamlet, Hamlet 's uncle was trying to be innocent and act like he is the a honest king, but everyone knew he wasn’t.

Hamlet, is unsure who he has stabbed and killed through the curtain, but hopes that it is Claudius. Hamlet concurs with his mother that his actions are reckless and brutal. He quickly refocuses his concerns back to addressing his mother's actions which he veiws as reprehensible. Hamlet’s need for revenge as a result of Claudius’s betrayal against him and his father encourages Hamlet to appear insane. His choice to appear insane drives him to try murder Claudius in an unforeseen way.

In William Shakespeare’s, “The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark”, a young prince named Hamlet is depressed and misguided. His father, the King has died and his mother Gertrude has already remarried his uncle Claudius. Hamlet is absolutely torn until his father’s ghost visits the castle and entreats Hamlet to avenge his death and kill his uncle King Claudius. Hamlet begins to test Claudius with plays and when Claudius finds out, all he has by his side is his councilor Polonius. Polonius tries to entrap Hamlet in every way possible, even by using his daughter Ophelia.

All events that take place in the play resulted from one single choice made by King Claudius. He chooses to poison his brother, the former king, so he is able to marry the Queen and become a part of royalty. This cruel and despicable action results in six different deaths that could have been avoided if he had not taken action. Not only does he cause this chain reaction of deaths, his cruelty spreads like a rampant disease throughout the kingdom. This causes Hamlet to be fixated upon his uncle's death because of what he did to his father.

Hamlet's uncle claudius killed king hamlet out of envy. It was envy for the throne and for the power to be the king of denmark. In act three scene three he clearly states that he murdered king hamlet for his own ambition, for the crown and for the queen of denmark, Gertrude. A lot of the deadly sin envy goes around throughout the story of hamlet. A lot of people want something someone else has.

As Claudius repents, Hamlet feels as though it's the best time to kill him until he says: And so ’a goes to Heaven; And so am I revenged. That would be scanned. A villain kills my father; and for that, I, his son, do this same villain send To heaven (3.3.73-78) Essentially, Hamlet wanted to murder Claudius because he was the Old King’s murderer.

He is the Prince of Denmark and is next in line for the thrown. After his father’s death, his uncle sweeps the throne with his ambition and left Hamlet deserted. With his father being murdered, his mother quickly giving her affections to Claudius, and Claudius stealing Hamlet’s crown, Hamlet feels that he cannot trust anyone in his family anymore. This forces Hamlet to be depressed and it establishes a mental conflict between himself and his family members. Also, Hamlet feels and shows affection for Ophelia.

Hamlet, also, could not get over the death of his father. He found out when his father’s ghost came back that his brother, and Hamlet’s uncle, murdered him. He then was willing to do anything possible to get revenge on Claudius, his uncle. Both of

This amorality stems from his desire to avenge the “rank and gross[ly]” (Shakespeare, 29) cruel actions of his uncle, the King Claudius. In the end however, both Hamlet and Claudius die with little pomp, victims of each other in a cyclical stream of karma. Shakespeare uses this eventuality to denounce the use of cruelty as a means to an end, for it brings nought but meaningless death. The fact that Hamlet becomes so cruel specifically because of Claudius’ treachery is a testament to the relationship between oppressor and oppressed. As Hamlet becomes that which he once hated, Shakespeare emphasizes the fact that the line between victim and oppressor is often more blurred than defined.

Hamlet kept hesitating to kill Claudius, he would always say now is not the time. Hamlet knew if he wanted revenge he had to kill Claudius; while he was sinning so Claudius would not have time to be forgiven for his sins; just like Hamlet’s father. Taking revenge and killing Claudius is a difficult task for Hamlet to accomplish, Hamlet questions everything before acting upon his goal.
