The era of the 60s was the birth of many rock bands. Rocks bands such as Cream, The Who, and the Beatles were defining what would later become the foundation of rock music. One guitarist in particular influenced the sound of rock music and how rock should be played. That man is no other than Jimi Hendrix. Though he had a short, but eventful career he would go on to be remembered as an icon and legend as a founding father of rock.

The Monkees Pretend for a moment that it is 1966, and you are driving to work, tuning the radio in your car. You stop on a station playing “Last Train to Clarksville” by The Monkees, a song you recognize from their popular TV show. The Monkees was a band of four boys that starred as themselves in a TV show as themselves and produced music. Though the band had a relatively short lifespan, the members produced plenty of episodes of their show and songs during it, and later wrote more songs after the breakup of the band via reunion tours. The members of the Monkees were very influential in the development of television and music during the 1960’s.

The band kept playing until they were forced to come off the stage. It was a thunderstorm and they had to take the band off in fear of them being electrocuted. They finished around midnight because of all the breaks due to the thunderstorm. Their set was Influenced by Blues, Jazz, Country, Folk and of course Rock ‘N’ Roll, they used to stretch their compositions to incredible lengths, improvising solos and lyrics. Their songs got delayed because of the storm so there were long breaks between the song.

He passed away in June of 1954 at the age of 33 due to falling down a flight of stairs and breaking his neck. This was probably due to a drunken or high state and leading to a clumsy accident. Others say it was due to a heart attack. No body knows as to the reason of his death so it could go as far as a murder. But in his short lifetime Cedrone managed to become very successful with the guitar and shot is band forward.

Rock and Roll has revolutionized the way we behave, dress, and much more. To this day rock and roll continues to make its statement in society. It had become a popular music genre that dominated the 1950’s and currently today 's music culture. The music genre originated in the 1950’s. It is a combination of Jazz, Blues, and Gospel.

The invention of rock & roll was a collaborative effort, yet many music buffs trace its beginnings back to a singer, songwriter, and guitarist named Chuck Berry. Taking what he knew from the blues, big band, swing, country, and pop, Berry developed a style and sound that uniquely spoke to the experience of the American teenager, and that appealed to white as well as black audiences. And he remains, arguably, rock & roll's most influential figure. Among those who admit to having emulated his complex guitar riffs and quick, witty lyrics in their early days are some of the most prominent bands and artists of the past 50 years--including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Bruce Springsteen. Berry has spent a lifetime in the spotlight, but the spotlight has not always been kind to him.

February 9th, 1964: The Beatles took the world by storm by making their debut on “The Ed Sullivan Show”. The popular rock group included John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They’ve changed the world with their music and became the best selling band in history. The Beatles are one of the most influential music groups impacting the world in more ways than one.

The audience ranged over four generations. For a band to begin forming by 1965 and performing by 1970, their music can punctuate and electrify the generation of today. By understanding the origin of Lynyrd Skynyrd, an individual could feel how this Southern Rock band injected sorrow, joy, and sometimes confusion in their electric jams. They loved their guitars. This group was not a Confederate flag-waving, redneck band.

It all started in Liverpool in 1960 when four men came together to create the iconic band, The Beatles. The English rock band members consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were able to create timeless music that still continues to influence artists even years after the end of the group’s time. Not only did they surpassed every limit that was reached before them, they left a mark on the music industry that most artist can only hope they achieve. They changed the way music itself was created and the way it was presented to people listening all over the world.

I) Introduction: Hello everyone today I will speak to you about an English rock band who most of you have heard off, “The Beatles”. They were one of the biggest musical icons in history. The band consisted of 4 legends: John Lennon (guitar), George Harrison (guitar), Paul McCartney (bass) and Ringo Starr (drums).

“The Stones success happened overnight, almost as soon as they started playing in small clubs. The kids were killing around the block. In their time, they had to move to bigger venues and that’s where things got really rough” (Starr). “In May 1963 the Rolling Stones signed to Decca Records and cut their first single” (Townshend 7). Their first single was, “Come On” which was a huge hit across the country.

Since February of 1964 when the beatles showed their music to the souls of America, everyone was hooked. The Beatles transformed not just the United States form of music but the entire world’s perspective on Rock and Roll; by their attitudes, style and sound. John Lennon and Paul McCartney are very famous names that have come up in many different topics. These guys are the vocalists behind the Beatles. Lennon and McCartney wrote over 300 songs together but not all were put to music and released.
