Throughout the play he grows wicked because perseverance and ambition have blindsided Macbeth’s way of thought. Honestly Macbeth just wanted to be some kind of authority or higher in power. He was so driven and determined he thought he was basically forced to kill his own friend to get his spot in life, Thane of Cawdor. You could tell when Macbeth was talking to his wife, he became hesitant. This shows Macbeth does have a heart, feelings, and a conscience, but his wife egged him on to “be a man” and those devious traits took over once

The tragic play Macbeth written by Shakespeare demonstrates two characters who love each other but whose decisions make them grow apart in ways they could not imagine. Macbeth is a smart man who is overpowered by his wife lady Macbeth. She controls him and influences most of his decisions. Macbeth has always wanted to be king, but doesn't know how to get there. Lady Macbeth gives him the plan to murder Duncan,in a highly-charged emotional speech.

She convinces him to go through with killing King Duncan. Lady Macbeth does not align with the stereotypes of Shakespeare’s, but shifts through male and female qualities during the play, right until her death. Lady Macbeth transitions from being shown as a common wife “of the emerging middle class” to a stronger masculine influence on the plot “because she perceives that her society equates feminine qualities with weakness”. The three witches and the head of the witches, Hecate, give Macbeth just enough information so that his natural instincts toward ambition and greed are stirred up. He literally destroys himself with the help of the witches’ manipulation; this shows how much power of influence this character had over the main protagonist, a man.

Enter Lady Macbeth, the first character that manipulates Macbeth. Not only is she the first who exploits Macbeth, but she is also the catalyst for his transformation from an optimistic, ambitious man into an apathetic psychopath. She encourages Macbeth to murder the king and take his place, realizing that Macbeth would be the next heir with Duncan and his sons, Donalbain and Malcolm, out of the way. He chooses to go through with it due to his “Vaulting ambition, which o’erleaps itself/ And falls on th’ other—” (I.vii.27-28) and his desire to satisfy his wife’s demands. In the hours before the plan unfolds it appears that Macbeth is deeply disturbed, despite not having done the deed.

In William Shakespeare’s tragedy Macbeth, Macbeth was loyal to everyone he knew, but then became a murderous monster after his wife kept shaming him for not being able to do something evil, labeling him as not a man making him a dynamic character because of his wife’s manipulation. Macbeth’s experience with Lady Macbeth is what influenced his future decisions. Lady Macbeth’s wish was to be queen. She would have done whatever it took to be queen.

As the Macbeth’s portray the opposite of social constructs and expectations in the play, they eventually fall into their belonged stereotype after Lady Macbeth slowly starts to spiral downhill. Once Macbeth feels as though someone is in the way of him becoming King, he instantly creates a plan to murder them like Lady Macbeth did with Duncan. As they eventually take up each others common behavior, Lady Macbeth drives herself to insanity due to her womanly feelings. “I have seen her rise from her bed, throw her nightgown upon her, unlock her closet, take forth paper, fold it, write upon ’t, read it, afterwards seal it, and again return to bed; yet all this while in a most fast sleep.” , she is seen sleepwalking and participating in strange activities due to the insanity driven from guilt (5.1.4-6).

Shakespeare engineered a most impressionable character in Macbeth who easily succumbs to the extensive magnitude of opposing constraints. This character is Macbeth, who is the protagonist in the play and husband to a conniving wife, who in the end is the sole cause for Macbeth 's undoing. Conflicting forces in the play compel internal conflicts within Macbeth to thrive on his contentment and sanity as he his torn asunder between devotion, aspiration, morality and his very own being. He has developed a great sense of loyalty from being a brave soldier; however, his ambition soon challenges this allegiance. As his sincerity begins to deteriorate, his own sanity starts to disintegrate until the point where he cannot differentiate between reality

Lady Macbeth is truly an evil character. In the beginning of the play, it tells how much Macbeth is a fierce warrior, but coming home the witches came. As soon as Lady Macbeth heard about the prophecy, she becomes the fierce warrior and Macbeth bends to her every whim. Lady Macbeth is always making Macbeth feel awful, (Act 3, scene V, line 58) “Are you a man?”.

In the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare, the main character Macbeth, in many cases, is portrayed as being evil. However, his character is not truly the evil force driving the actions of the play. His wife, Lady Macbeth, as well as the witches and their misleading prophecies, are the real driving forces of Macbeth’s unspeakable actions. Macbeth is driven mad by the evil around him, causing him to turn to the violent behavior displayed throughout the many murders of the play.

She is the one who wears the pants, for it was she who actually murdered Duncan. In the eyes of Lady Macbeth, Macbeth is weak. It is she that has to do his dirty work, and she who pays for her sins. Unlike most of the other Shakespeare women Lady Macbeth is ruthless, as quoted here, “Lady Macbeth is one of the most interesting and intriguing Shakespeare’s female characters. She is dominant and superior, controls her husband’s action.”

Throughout Shakespeare play Macbeth, Lady Macbeth was regarded as ruthless, cruel and manipulative, although it was suggested there was more to her character. Lady Macbeth is not as evil as she was portrayed to be. Lady Macbeth had a strong relationship with her husband, they trusted each other and were loyal to one another. Through her words and actions she showed humanity that others didn’t expect from her. A wicked person wouldn’t feel the slightest guilt for something wrong they have done, yet Lady Macbeth felt culpability that lead her to her downfall.

Lady Macbeth tries to mask her guilt by covering up for her husband, but eventually comes to grips with her own instability. In Macbeth, Shakespeare asserts that power drives the title character and his wife to insanity, particularly after their conspiracy to kill Duncan. For starters, prior to killing Duncan, Macbeth imagines the likely consequences of his future actions and whether or not they signal his destiny. At the beginning

William Shakespeare’s play Macbeth, the main character; Macbeth, is seen as an evil character. The play is based off of Macbeth’s decisions and his actions to become King. In the beginning Macbeth starts out as a hero in Scotland’s war with Ireland and towards the end he is transformed into a murderer. Macbeth is not wholly evil because of is heroism in the war, his love for Scotland, and because he didn’t want to kill King Duncan initially. Macbeth was brain washed by his wife and tricked into killing the King.
