Killer clowns have been a huge topic of discussion the last few years. They have been featured in so many T.V shows, books, and movies. John Wayne Gacy was one of the worlds biggest killer clowns. He killed 33 young men and boys because of his past trama with his abusive father and him being confused with his sexuality.
John Wayne Gacy was born on march 17, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. He was close with his mom Marion Elaine Gacy, but wasn’t so close with his dad John Stanley Gacy. When you have ASPD you won’t always end up being a serial killer, but in Gacy’s case he did. When you have ASPD you might be manipulative, deceitful and reckless, and most likely won’t care about other peoples feelings. People, like Gacy, might end up getting ASPD because of difficult family circumstances. There parents having misused alcohol, been abusive to their family, or said very hurtful things to them during their childhood. The police went to search Gacy's house and notices a really bad smell coming from a crawl space. They originally thought it was from a damaged sewer pipe, but soon found out that there were 29 bodies buried on his property as well as four more that he dumped in rivers near his house. Gacy was convicted and spent 14 years on Death Row. During that time he made creepy paintings of clowns that sold for thousands of dollars. On May 10, 1994, John Wayne Gacy at 52 years old was executed at the Stateville Penitentiary in Joliet, Illinois. When his father wasn’t working, he would drink and become aggressive toward his daughter and wife. As the only male in the household, Gacy would take beatings to defend his mother and sisters. At 7 years old, he was sexually abused by his dad's friend for months.

John Wayne is more known for his roles in the westerns as a gun slinger or a sheriff, but he had other roles such as a navy captain, a safari hunter, and once as a Davy Crockett. He also played in different genres such as action, comedy, drama, and of course westerns. John Wayne was born Marion Michael Morrison in Winterset, Iowa, on May 26,1907(History). His family moved to Glendale, California in 1913, where he grew up like any other child.

During the times of 1972 to 1978, John Wayne Gacy Jr. killed 33 people in the Chicago area. He was known for raping, torturing, then strangling his victims (SC4). Then he would dispose of the bodies by either dumping them into a river or hiding them beneath his house. He wasn't caught until after the murder of his final victim in 1978. John Wayne Gacy was one of America’s most notorious serial killers. Born and raised in Chicago, Gacy would go on to kill thirty-three boys within the Des Plaines area of Chicago, Illinois. He would rape, torture, then finally suffocate every single one of his thirty-three victims within the very walls of his own home. Having killed that many people, he became the serial killer with the most amount of confirmed kills in the United States at the time. He would be caught in early 1978 and sentenced to twenty-one life sentences, twelve death sentences, and to be executed by lethal injection, which would not happen until over a decade later in the middle of 1994.
The 70s through 90s were a cool time to be alive with all the cool music, bright colors and crazy clothes, but in this time there were a lot of serial killers and the most notorious one being John Wayne Gacy. He had a terrible childhood making him into the killer he was, next we will be talking about the time of his actual murders, lastly we will be talking about John's experience on death row. Let's start off with his Childhood, John had a terrible childhood and I believe these experiences have led him to be the person he was. John was born on March 17, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. In order to fully understand John Wayne Gacy's homicidal intent, one must look into his early childhood. His early childhood was filled with both physical and mental abuse from his father. John Gacy Sr, Gacy's father, was a severe alcoholic and was disappointed in his son for his lack of masculinity. Due to this, Gacy would often be abused by his father. Gacy was struggling with his sexual identity from a young age, but he moved to Illinois, got married and had a family to conceal his homosexual desires.
