The world prior to innovation and creativity was rigorous, violent, and uneasy. The world during the rise of the Industrial Revolution, however, created a flourishing economy across Europe and the world. In England for example, the economy was stable and resources were plentiful. This led to brilliant minds thinking about how they could make change, and therefore, the telegraph and sewing machines were invented. These are just two of the many inventions that came about during the Industrial Revolution, and it is what made its’ benefits worth the costs. Although some of these inventions cost a lot of money, they benefitted the economy greatly. The telegraph was one of the most successful inventions at the time It expanded the range of communications infinitely. By using the telegraph governments were able to communicate faster. The telegraph also improved military communication. Using the telegraph, Military strategists were directly able to communicate with their troops and give them direct orders. After, the sewing machine was invented, however, the lives of women in the house became more efficient. The sewing machine reduced the time it took women to sew clothes from one hour to 15 minutes. It also allowed women to provide clothes for more than just their own family. Because of this, women started to come together which made women’s work more efficient, therefore reducing even more time sewing and creating more clothes. This not only could benefit a few families but it could also benefit an entire town. The sewing machine’s efficiency also led to women having downtime, which eventually, led to the women’s rights movement.
