He was born on December 5, 1901 and died at the age of 65, 10 days after his birthday. During Walts early years, he developed a love for drawing and animating, selling his drawings and paintings to his neighbors, family, and friends. When he moved to Kansas city he got a job working at a railroad station selling snacks and newspapers. Most of his original designs for the park were based on nostalgia and fantasy as it does now. Walt's first successful film with the famous mickey mouse was called “steamboat willie”. As the times went on, disney started to make more and more animations such as pinocchio, fantasia, dumbo bambi, cinderella which is one of Walt's personal favorites, and so much more. Disney World is portrayed as the most magical place where you get to ride rides and meet movie characters in a fantasy world. This is everyone's perspective before seeing the total cost at the end of their experience and the amount of time they have wasted. Once production was set the people he was working with went behind his back, signed a contract without him and tried taking it from him, (Disney-History). That’s when he decided he was going to create a cartoon named Mickey, where they wouldn 't be able to take it from him. That’s where the cartoons really started to take off.
