Members of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department SWAT team and the Indianapolis Fire Department successfully rescue a man in danger to himself and others.
Just after 10:30 a.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were sent to the 3500 blk. of Layman Avenue on report of a call for help. A call to 9-1-1 requested police come to the area.
When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old male sitting in a red lawn chair in the driveway of a residence holding a large butcher knife. Officers cautiously approached the subject in hopes of getting him to put the weapon down. The man refused and instead retreated into the residence. The subject 's girlfriend had exited the residence by the time the subject had entered back into the residence. The subject was seen by officers through the front window acting very bizarre and holding the knife. Officers also observed the subject cut the cord of lamp inside the house. As officers attempting to coax the subject out of the house they observed smoke coming from the rear of the residence. The subject then retreated to an upstairs bathroom where officers could clearly see him holding the knife. Officers summonsed the assistance of the Indianapolis Fire Department and on-duty SWAT operators. The subject stayed in the residence for a large majority of time as fire was clearly seen protruding from the rear roof of the house. It was subsequently learned that the subject, before police arrived entered the home of his girlfriend and forcefully took her keys and drover her vehicle recklessly and destroying a nearby utility pole and two fences. After the vehicle became inoperable the subject went to the chair where officers encountered him.
The subject was transported to Eskenazi Hospital for mental evaluation and will likely face preliminary charges once investigators have had a chance to investigate this
Per NYPD arrest report, P Emilio Serrano observed P Emilio Serrano closing the apartment door on MOS and after MOS gained entry to the apartment P Emilio Serrano ran down the hallway then grabbed MOS and placed himself in between to prevent MOS from arresting. Apartment # 510: P Gibson alleges that was on the toilet when MOS break into the bathroom with their guns drawn and pulled her off the toilet. P Gibson states that she was not allowed to get dressed and was dragged into the living room. P Gibson claims she was handcuffed tightly. Apartment # 406: P Speare alleges that she was in her bed when MOS entered the bedroom and dragged her into the living room.
SYNOPSIS: At 0903 hours, on May 5, 2016, I, Cpl. Lessane, with the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office, responded to Yemassee Police Department, in the Yemassee area of Hampton County, in regards to an verbal assault between an Insurance Agent and the Mayor of Yemassee. Bobby Arnett, agent from All State stated he was threatened by the Mayor of Yemassee, Jerry Cook, when he attempted to go recover an vehicle from Jerry’s Used Cars. Mr. Arnett stated upon his arrival, Mr. Cook arrived at his business shortly after him and made verbal threats to kill him.
On 7-22-2016, I, Richard Reyes was dispatched to a call for criminal trespassing at 12625 Wetmore Rd, San Antonio, TX. at approximately 0800 hours. I arrived on site at 0818 hours, where there were 2 men arguing inside of the class room. I was accompanied by back-up officer Alysha Rosario, we separated the two men from each other and asked the suspect Johnny McGregor to step outside, and the Officer Rosario spoke with him and gathered his story. I stayed inside of the classroom and spoke with the victim Jose Robledo about the incident, where Jose explained to me that his step-brother Johnny has been using the car and has not been adding gas to it.
2. What would have been the proper investigative steps to take? The right investigative steps would be to watch the man and when they had probable cause or enough evidence for a warrant then they could take action. They could ask to come in and if he lets them in and they find something in plain view then they can use that to arrest him.

On 03/02/2017, I, Chad Agnew, was working as a patrol officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approximately 1551 hours I was in Human Resources when I heard other officers get dispatched to Jardine Hall Room 201 for a panic alarm. I notified dispatch that I would be enroute since Human Resources in close to Jardine Hall. When I was approaching Jardine, I observed a male wearing a hat with shoulder length curly hair standing outside the front doors on the east side of Jardine. As I was entering the building, I walked past the male.
The residents said a man, armed with a handgun, forced his way into their home and demanded cash. An argument ensued, during which time he reportedly pointed the gun at the residents while making threats, said Vaughn. He eventually left in an awaiting vehicle, said Vaughn, noting that information shared with suspects at a party earlier that evening likely led them to the home where a work crew had previously seen the cash.

On December 10th, a 47-year-old man was arrested after driving onto Arkansas State University campus with propane tanks that were “ready to blow,” and “a shotgun strapped to his back.” Brad Kenneth Bartelt was reported to the police Wednesday after posting on Facebook that “he was homicidal and suicidal.” However, nothing was done until he drove onto the campus at 1:30 PM the next day but within thirty minutes, police officers surrounded and arrested him.
