What is Richard’s Point of View? In the article “Keep America Wild,” Richard Powers talks about the changes that the Trump Administration is trying to do to the Mount Katahdin. At first, he gives us the oppositions against the president Donald Trump, since he is considering “delisting” monuments on Katahdin, and as he does this, he uses pathos in an adequate way to persuade his audience. Secondly, Powers indicates the further authorization that Donald Trump is taking throughout his presidency, no other president had ever taken, and as he does this, he brings credible evidence to support his argument and make it credible.

Krakauer choses a specific tone to narrate the story, not far from a hypercritical sense.

Rhetorical Analysis of Jon Krakauer’s “Into the Wild ” Jon Krakauer ’s purpose in writing Into the Wild is to recount Chris McCandless’ journey, physical and metaphysical, from college in Georgia to his death in Alaska, through the use of factual, and anecdotal evidence. Krakauer uses factual evidence to establish that he is a trustworthy narrator capable of giving the reader a realistic scope on the events in the story. Jon uses anecdotal evidence to see into Chris’ psyche from the various perspectives found in the book’s excerpts, including how Jon understands the events.

In this passage, the writer’s diction reveals his/her tone by showing frustration and concern. The writer is frustrated because he/she believes that it is wrong to just leave your pets unleashed and unattended. The writer uses the word careless to voice their frustration toward the lazy and irresponsible dog owners. By saying this, the writer is saying the owners are not concerned with the consequences of letting their pet run wild. Danger is used to reflect the author’s opinion on animal and children safety.
