The book “Human Geography” in chapter 10 (The global geography of culture) mentions to the culture is basic of everything in the world, it is the factor that human use to specify what should they do. People in the world have different culture that the difference of culture could tell about how the group of people who are owner of that culture be. So, the local is a factor of difference of culture. However, the culture never stop to progress, when the time passed, the culture may be developed or changed by people. The immigration is a part of reterritorialization of culture, there are many parts of reterritorialization. Besides the population movement, there are language that demonstrate the unique of that culture; after the time passed and moving of people, the language was developed, and sometimes that language used the other language. In addition, there is architecture that influence to other areas and there is religion that expand around the world, many people in many place have the same belief. However, there was pattern of empire that it expanded until it is peak point and then that empire was destroyed by many reasons, such as pressure from outside or internal conflict. For example, the oldest empire that we knew, Mesopotamia. At present, we cannot reject that British is an empire that effect to people in the world because of English language that is very important because it is a global language that can communicate the most of the countries. At first, when global integration, the empire was happened and there were processes to control everything in that empire. After that, there was expand of the empire to other areas of the world to show their power to other countries, the large empire tried to find new areas to find any resource that can be benefit to their empire, then colonialism was happened. In the past, there were many core countries in Europe could control many periphery countries in Asia, Africa, or other part of the world. Next, it happened imperial overstretch, the imperial countries cannot stand all the time because when the empire expanded so much and it was over limit to control, the leader could not control their empire; finally, imperial disintegration, the core countries had to stop to do colonialism and free the colonial countries.
