How Star Wars Changed Cinema

The seven Star Wars films features a fictional universe spanning planets and star clusters far, far away; yet all its filming took place on the very real planet of Earth. The original trilogy presented arguably the vastest array of planetary geography. Episode IV: A New Hope opens with the desert planet of Tatooine. The next film, The Empire Strikes Back, introduces the frigid planet of Hoth.

If you were asked what you thought the most popular Sci-Fi franchise is among all generations of people, which franchise would you choose? For most, the answer would be Star Wars. That is no surprise, because of the overwhelming popularity of the franchise. People appreciate the fact that there are a variety of characters and personalities that are easy to relate to. The director of Star Wars, George Lucas, subtly uses the characters and the advanced technology to get important messages across to the viewers.

Reflection: Star Wars – Hero’s Journey Star Wars, one of the most famous films to this day, was written and directed by George Lucas. Star Wars a film that follows the story of Luke Skywalker, a young man from the planet of Tatooine living with his aunt and uncle. But, his life is forever changed when his uncle decides to buy a pair of seemingly normal droids, R2D2 and C3po. Skywalker shortly comes to find that stored inside of R2-D2 is a message from Princess Leia, who is being held hostage by the Galactic Empire, asking for help from Obi-Wan Kenobi. So Luke Skywalker, along with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Chewy, R2D2 and C3po embark on a mission to rescue the beautiful Princess Leia from the evil Darth Vader.

Star wars and worldviews have been ingrained to the movies and clone wars series the star wars the universe is based off a Universalist worldview, which is highly adaptable to multiple worldviews. The main foundation of the Jedi is the force, which is, predominates from the eastern religions and their every day practical religious applications. The western religions are shown in the star wars worldview but they are only slightly used through out the movies and series. The star wars worldview allows compromises between different worldviews.

In Star Wars, "the Force" is a name that represents an infinite energy acquired by Force-sensitive individuals (Decker 24). It is generated by all living things that surround and bind the entire galaxy together. The Force allows individuals to perform some supernatural deeds and develop some elements of physical traits, which include reflexes and speed. Moreover, the film series features the Jedi, which the components of the galaxy act as guardians and peacemakers to the Force. The Sith includes elements that represent evil who aim is to destroy the universe.

As we all know, Star Trek has recently achieved enormous success with both Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) achieving mainstream appeal and gained enormous box office success. That’s truly something, but practically nothing compared to what The Force Awakens (2015) did last year both at the box offices and when it came to popular culture. To summarize, when it comes to the money the Star Wars series has made $2.8 billion, with eight episodes/films, while the Star Track crew earned $1.2 billion through 12 films! That’s

Star Wars Episode 4 VS 1 Star Wars is one of the most popular movie franchises ever, and more importantly, one of my favorites. These movies paved he way for future films, and influenced tons of generations of people. Each movie has its own things better than the other, some more than others.
