How has computer engineering changed over time? Computer science is the study of computers and computing, including theoretical and algorithmic foundations, hardware and software as well as their uses for processing information and data (?Computer science?). Computer engineers are those that go down the path of making computers or researching new computers. Computer engineers have a median yearly salary of ~$128170 and median hourly salary of ~$61.78 (Bureau of Labor Statistics). The high salaries computer engineers have show how needed computer engineers are in today's world. The job growth for a computer engineer is 5%, an average speed (Bureau of Labor Statistics). Overall computer engineers have led to advancements in society that many people would not be able to go without. Computer engineers have revolutionized the world with what they do and revolutionized the way society now functions. Leading to automation in nearly every facet of life, computer engineers are now needed for society to function. The creations computer engineers have let loose on society need repairs, research, development, testing, the list goes on; however, computer engineers are still required in society because of that. Google, fridges, cars, airplanes, phones, Amazon, toilets, almost every part of life has been influenced by computers and those who make them, the computer engineers.
