Did you want to know about a great explorer? Well then read this research paper, because it tells you all about a great explorer, Henry Hudson. Henry Hudson was born in 1565 CE. Little is really known about Henry Hudson’s early life. All that’s really known is that he navigated as a child. He was also known for exploring near the New York harbor. In late 1500’s, Henry Hudson married Katherine Hudson. They had three children, John and two others who are not known. Henry Hudson first sailed the sea May 1,1607, on Hopewell. He turned to Dutch and England 's greatest trading rival, and he was eventually hired to find a northwest passage to the New World, the present day U.S. He got a new ship, Half Moon, and set sail. Shortly on his journey he faced mutiny. When he got to the New World he was exploring the opening of a wide river near today 's New York City. The river today is called Hudson 's River. Hudson proceeded down the river towards today 's city Albany. It was getting too short to continue so they turned back. As soon as Hudson got back, he was arrested for having another nation’s flag on the ship. He was under house arrest but Smythe persuaded the court to get him out of house arrest. As soon as he got going, Robert Juet, the man that would cost him his ship and his life, wanted to be part of his crew. This ship was Discovery and was sailed by Captain Weymouth. When they got going, Hudson couldn 't control his crew at all, and there was fighting and even mutiny within the first few months. By the end of the year the crew was stuck hundreds of miles south and unable to turn back. They went ashore and stayed on land until late spring. The 15th century was the start of many voyages and the popular use of ships for trade, traveling, and exploration. Columbus, de Gama, and Zheng He, were all leaders Zheng He was the first major ocean voyager in the 15th century. He led seven expeditions, through the Indian ocean using over 300 massive boats called “treasure ships”. Though, unlike many others in his time, he was not an explorer.
An Italian explorer responsible for the European discovery of America in 1492. Columbus wanted to sail across the ocean to find Asia and all the riches they had. Columbus never reached Asia because he sailed west across the Atlantic instead of sailing south around Africa and then east. While on this journey, Hudson discovered whales, which opened up a new hunting location. His second voyage turned out the same way as the first one. He made it very close to Russia, but once again the ice got in the way.

Zheng He was a Hui-Chinese mariner, explorer, diplomat and fleet admiral, who commanded voyages to Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and East Africa. Each men and their fleets had two completely different reason for their travel. Christopher Columbus purpose was to find a new trade way to the Asian countries. Zheng He's purpose was to enlarge empires control of seaway trade.

Opening argument against John Cabot On May 20, 1497 John Cabot started a voyage with 1 ship and a crew of 18 men. This voyage was granted to him by King Henry VII of England. Little did the crew know they were sealing their fate. When the men were exploring they had to endure the awfulness of their captain, John Cabot. He talked down to them and always made them feel useless.
Because of this he returned to France. The king was not happy and he did not pay for another expedition. The effect of this exploration is when he explored the St Lawrence river he made it able for France to claim parts of Canada. When he met with the Native Americans they liked each other. French Exploration in the New World French Exploration began about forty years after Columbus sailed to the new world. They hoped to find a passageway that would get them to the east to trade, through America, Along with spreading Christianity with the natives and claiming land. The French found that Furs were a large thing on the trade market. So fur trading became a huge part in French History in America.
