A Christmas Carol was written by Charles Dickens in 1843. A Christmas Carol is a story about Ebenezer Scrooge, who only cares about money and power. One night, Jacob Marley’s ghost comes to tell him that 3 ghosts will be visiting him. Those 3 ghosts changes Scrooge’s life. Scrooge goes through many changes throughout the story. In stave one, Scrooge has not changed. He didn’t give money to the portly gentlemen, when they asked for money for the poor, it made him feel good when he sent them away. Fred asked Scrooge to dinner, but Scrooge became angry and said “Humbug.” Marley’s ghost visits him and says that three ghosts will be visiting him.
