How Does George Orwell Corrupt Society

The author George Orwell captures characteristics in all of the animals and relate them to individuals who corrupt our society today as well as the civilians who has to live with the aftermath of the corruption. Growing up in England during the early 1900’s and being surrounded by the unfair class system really inspired him to compose the short novel “Animal Farm” (Yabroff). George Orwell was a very unique character, he was not afraid to point out the flaws of society with help of his writing. He was born june 25, 1903 in Motihari, India. When the mind can not think on its own we often seek guidance from other individuals that are more educated and therefore most likely right. The pigs used knowledge as a way of taking control over the less educated animals on the farm. “this has been proved by Science, comrades” (Orwell 42) was one of many explanations to why the pigs should be given the power to make all of the decisions regarding the animals and the farm. Lack of education is still used to this day as a way to take advantage of people. Girls in india are forced to get married and obey every rule their fathers and husbands set. They are viewed as less because they do not have the knowledge to be able to fight for what is rightfully theirs. Human rights should not be ignored only because a young woman lacks the knowledge to understand that she deserves to have a voice. All around the world young women are denied the option of learning. It makes it very easy for med to take advantage of the women around them. It is very relatable to what Squealer stated in the book. “That was part of the arrangement! ' cried Squealer. 'Jones 's shot only grazed him. I could show you this in his own writing, if you were able to read it” (Orwell 80).
