Also, Nuclear fear also was the characteristic of cold war, everyone at that time was fear of the nuclear war that was seemed to happen, especially at the time of Cuba missile crisis. Golden age was for America. In 1950s, there was Rejection of the Fair Deal, Integration of Major League Baseball, Desegregation of Armed Forces, Integration of major league baseball arose. Also, government had response to Lynching under the pressure of public. The golden age specifically present in the economic expansion, wide ranging improvements in living standards which facilitated the access to better life. Besides, unemployment, poverty rate were low at that time. America gained the industrial supremacy in the world.

The United States Had a Golden Age The United States have experienced a Golden Age in American history. The Golden Age was about five years after World War II, in 1950. It was a Golden Age for three main reasons, one reason was after the war the United States was the wealthiest and most powerful nation. Another reason was that people needed jobs and they had a job for everyone so they would be making money for their families.
Gilded age 1878-1889 was the age of fast growth of industry and immigrants in America history. The production of steel and iron rose radically than other time. The Cold War was an ongoing state of political and military tension between the United States and the Soviet Union. The Cold War did occur after WWII between the United States and The Soviet Union at the time of President Ronald Reagan administration. The Soviet union and its government had the ideology of spreading communism around the world. The United States was against communism and this why the country went to war with Vietnam. "Containment" was the ultimate goal by the U.S. to preventing communism from happen worldwide. My perception of the Cold War and the War on Terror is due to the lack of the United States government to understanding other countries language, culture and way of life.
The Gilded age was a period in the late 1800s (1865-1900) that showed tremendous increase of wealth caused by the industrial age. The lifestyle of the rich during this period hid the many problems of the time that eventually brought about the progressive era movement. This was a movement for reform between 1900-1920s. Progressives typically held that the irresponsible actions of the rich were corrupting both public and private life. Forces such as immigration, the Populist Party and industrialization that led to the progressive era also impacted the American government both in its activeness and its democracy.
This caused America to flourish with new inventions, for example the automobile, household machinery, television, etc. Even old inventions and ideas were improving, like the radio, movies, and the use of advertising. The radio, movies, driving, and buying the various new products became a part of the daily lives. These inventions created a sense of ease for daily lives in America in the 1920s.
