How Did George Washington Contribute To The American Revolution

Patrick Henry was born on May 29th, 1736 in Studley, Virginia. He grew up and was raised on Studley plantation which belonged to his mother’s family. Patrick was the second of nine children in his family. He didn’t go to school, because his father who had attended a university in Scotland taught him. After failing in business, Patrick married a girl named Sarah Shelton.

Who is Patrick Henry in the revolution? What are his notable contributions to America, particularly to the American war of independence? To begin with, Patrick Henry is one of the greatest firebrands of the American Revolution. This founding father has served as a governor in Virginia for several fruitful terms.

“The Father of America,” one of Samuel Adams’ nicknames and even though he wasn't officially an American leader, he still got the name because he was the spokesperson for the rebellion. Samuel Adams was a very important figure in the American Revolution. Adams had large influence on the American Revolution including setting up the Boston Tea Party in 1773, being an organizer of the Sons of Liberty, and creating the Committees of Correspondence. Firstly, Sam Adams had a prominent role in the Sons of Liberty.

Finally, Washington helped the United States by forcing the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown. Overall, his tactic of attrition helped to win the war.

He led the revolutionary army against the British Empire, he served as the first president, and most importantly he stepped down from power. In an era of brilliant men, Washington was not the deepest thinker. He never wrote a book or even a long essay, unlike George Mason, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and John Adams.

The winter that George Washington’s soldiers spent at Valley Forge was backbreaking, cold, and the men had little clothing. Smallpox ran rampant, with a 40% death rate and a painful inoculation process. Because of the lack of clean water, the soldiers suffered from dysentery. After a few weeks, they had run out of meat, and were forced to survive on firecakes, a crude mixture of flour and water. Many froze or starved to death, causing the death rate to grow to 10 men per day.

George Washington was the first president of the United States. He was born in Virginia in 1732 and was a surveyor in his youth days. George Washington’s military involvement began when he joined the Virginia militia. This included dangerous missions he accomplished in delivering messages from Governor Dinwiddie to the French in Ohio Valley. Due to his heroism, Washington was appointed to command the Virginia militia forces.

Many people are under the superstition that the tyrannical laws and taxes that were imposed on the Americas were solely George’s actions but actually king George hardly contributed to the laws he just approved the laws the parliament created. But none the less King George was responsible for the American revolution.

John Adams John Adams is the one of the most interesting person in the Revolutionary War. He had a huge impact on the Revolutionary War. He helped make the Declaration of Independence. In 1774 he served in the first continental congress. He was the first vice president of the United States and the second president.

So how was a major figure in the American Revolution? Well, in the events that led to the Revolution he took a major stance, most famously in his criticism of George III after the Stamp Act got approved.   He opposed the prices forced by the Townshend Acts and the British attempt to collect them by using the Royal Navy

Valley Forge was a winter camp 18 miles away from Philadelphia, where George Washington took his troops during 1777 and 1778. The British army is comfortable in Philadelphia, while Valley Forge has harsh conditions with the cold weather and the lack of supplies. I will not reenlist when my 9-month enlistment is over. I will not reenlist for these reasons, diseases, lack supplies, and cold weather and smoky air.

The American revolution is one of the most important events in American history. It had taken millions to make this happen, including General Washington. Washington was an outstanding general to had brought hope into the minds of his people in a time of despair. Inexperienced in running such a huge army he made the impossible, possible. He had led his army through the crucial weather, disease and several hardships.
