The assassination of Abraham Lincoln was unjust because he prevented countries from intervening in the Civil War and he ended slavery, however some people didn’t want things to change. Lincoln was assassinated right after Confederate General E. Lee’s army surrendered. Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth at the Ford’s Theatre in Washington. He survived nine hours after he had gotten wounded. Abraham Lincoln was one of the best presidents in American History and did great things for our country. He didn’t deserve to die because some people didn’t agree with his opinions or actions.

Lincoln had five hundred ships with one hundred fifty on patrol because he couldn’t watch the whole coastline by himself. They seized and destroyed around fifteen hundred blockade runners. This stopped the help for the south to win the war. He was only going into war with the south to stop them from breaking apart from the north and becoming their own union. He was trying to keep the union together because the north wouldn’t be able to survive without the south. The north’s soldiers were dying out and Lincoln needed to win the war so his plan was to free the slaves so they would be able to help the north fight the south. …show more content…

Lincoln is the reason why slavery ended, he fought for the slaves so they could become soldiers and fight in the war against the south. He brought the north and the south together and kept the country together after the Civil War. John Wilkes Booth was being selfish for killing him because only a small portion of white people owned slaves. Abraham Lincoln died for a small portion of people who didn’t agree with
